I use baby crib mattresses too when I'm doing advanced stuff that I'm practicing for the first time. Nice and cheap and does the job.

I should mention that I only see to have the issue with the muscles on the left side. My dominant side is my right. Not sure if its because i’m working on too many moves that require alot of control. Lately I’ve been working on the flag invert, iron x and twisted grip. Maybe I’m just pushing myself to hard.

It was great meeting everyone. There is such a nice pole community here in the toronto area!
Now I need to take a warm bath and get some arnica for my bruises.

Now if I could only get a good nights sleep tonight. Not going to count on it cause I’m super excited to attend my first pole jam with all of you tomorrow!

welcome to SV. Hope to meet you next weekend at SASS.

Getting super excited for the pole jam!!! Can’t wait to meet everyone. So wish I lived back in Toronto again.

Do you consider yourself more advanced than some of the instructors or have you ever been offered a job to teach elsewhere? I have a similar situation where a local studio owner wouldn’t let me attend a class with Karol because she heard I was going to teach somewhere else even though I wasn’t. I believe she was threatened that I would steal students to send to another studio and didn’t want me learning anything more advanced.

I plan on attending. Who do we contact to reserve a spot?
so excited!

Hey there and welcome! I live in Cranberry township If you get a chance to go by spin on fitness its a really great group of girls there even though it takes longer to get to. I personally don’t recommend OMYG because the owner won’t allow me in her studio and even prevented me from coming to a workshop with Karol Helms recently for which I have no idea why.
This is a great forum where we all support each other and you can get alot of great advice.

Got my itac2 in this week. Tried it out twice and both times it made it much worse. I have a titanium xpole and it made my hands way to slippery. It was like i had just sprayed the pole with water. Going to stick with dry hands product instead.
Anyone else have this type of result with itac? -
It took me over a month to get this one without feeling like my hand grip was slipping or letting go because of the pain. Definately having your body turned away from the pole as others mentioned helps. Eventually the pain went away after repetition like it did for me when i was learning the scorpio and superman. Just keep practicing.

Here are a few you could do:
Roxy Spin
Raverse Alegra
Twisted Grip Handspring
Flag Invert (flag to brass monkey)
Shouldermount body wave
Raverse Caterpiller climb
Genie
No hands craddle spin -
Here is the video I found that I really liked that help to explain it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I tried it against the wall tonight and got it over and over. I was watching a youtube video by some guy that does gymnastics and he said to make sure your hips are over your shounders before you try to lift. Once I did that I had no issues lifting my legs up slowly. yay. now I just need to practice with the pole. i think I’ll do it a bit off center from teh pole so my head doesn’t touch it at all.
