    I know I haven’t been very active on here in quite a while (I do check in and snoop around https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif ) but I love what Veena has done for the pole community and felt I had to give them a piece of my mind as well!

    I’d love to have someone to pole with but since I moved here a year ago I haven’t met any pole buddies https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif I currently have a 50mm chrome X-Pole and a 45mm TG X-Pert but I’m selling both of them because they just sit in my closet. I’d love to use them but I don’t have the time or the space for them.

    yeah this happens to me too. what my husband showed me to do is take the long extension tube for my vacuum cleaner (or any long sturdy tube) and put the release rods inside of the long vacuum tube. with the longer vacuum tube you now have a longer lever and it’s easy breezy to undo the tough x pole tubes. hope this helps

    LOL these are all so true! Here’s mine…

    If you’re husband knows the names of all the moves you can do, you may be a pole dancer!

    If you know what uspdf stands for, you may be a pole dancer LOL

    If you’re dreams have changed from being a nurse, teacher, ballerina etc…. to one day teaching pole dance or opening your own studio, you may be a pole dancer

    thanks for your advice ladies, I totally overlooked the PS small spinning pole. I’ll have to talk to my husband about that. But hmm more slippery than chrome, not sure that sounds so good LOL. maybe I’ll have to try the brass out somewhere. such a tough decision, stupid vaulted ceiling! LOL

    well I still haven’t been able to get my feet off the ground either. the cupped grip gets me absolutely nowhere and I feel like I’m going to fall right down with that grip. but then I tried the grip Monz used in her shoulder mount video and I can almost get up there. so with just a lil more practice I think I’ll get there. but yeah give this grip a try and see how it feels for you.

    MM’s Sweet Dreams version is really cool, I like the guitar.
    Jonathan Davis – System from Queen of the Damned would be fun to dance to.
    redke71 did a performance to SRC’s version of Love Song, check it out on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYK97TORHv8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

    yeah I saw that she’s one of my favorite youtubers so I loved that she picked that song! and the whole queen of the damned soundtrack rocks!

    did it fall? Mine once fell when my friends and I were drunk on new years and put it up like this / (It looked pretty straight at the time, I didnt notice it was unbelievably crooked til I saw pictures later on) but it ended up falling and put a hole in my wall and now has a huge dent in it that i had to beat out with a hammer. it’s still a little dented but I havent had any problems with it falling since then. I did call x-pole and I think they said a replacement dome is like 75 or something around that.

    With the wrist sit, some tips are:
    – Lean BACK before trying to sit on your wrist, your torso should not be close to the pole
    – After sitting on the pole, putting your wrist under one bum cheek and leaning back, try to release your thigh hold and sit your bum on your wrist
    – Next bring your knees towards your chest (do not just splay open your legs) and then extend them out to an upright V

    Thank You soo much georgia! I finally got the wrist seat! I’ve been constantly trying to just spread my legs LOL but when I brought them in and then spread it worked like a charm! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif THANKS

    yeah I think I know exactly what you mean! when I first started poling I used to get terrible pains in my wrists and forearms. But now that I’ve built up strength I don’t get those pains anymore. So I THINK it was because I was putting too much pressure on my wrists and didnt have the strength that I needed to properly support myself. So just take it slowly and don’t overwork yourself. You’ll get there https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
