I do aerial silk. The various climbs, pose and holds compliment poling well. In the middle of the class last week I wondered https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif if I would be able to do a twisted grip shouldermount V invert on the fabric https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_question.gif . My aerial teacher said she doesn’t think it will work cuz the fabric would move. I said I was going to try and i did it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif She was surprised that i was able to do it on the silk. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif That is now one of my ways of mounting the fabric into a knee hook. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_salut.gif

I finally got my TG handspring mount after 5 months of frustrating practice. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif I took Michelle Mynx advance workshop in which she was showing us how to do the TG mount. I told her about my failed attempts at this https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif for the last 5 months and she ask to see my technique. When I showed her I GOT IT. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif I was in total shock https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif and screamed for joy. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif I can’t get it 100 % at each try yet on a 2 inch https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif but I can nail it easily on a 1.75 inch. But after my week of getting this I tweeked something on my rotator https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif of my shoulder. So I’m laying off this move for a while then I’m off to practice the phoenyx move. And i am lucky that Phoenyx -Shaun is one of our regulars at our monthly Ontario pole jam. I can learn it from the best https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_queen.gif as she invented this move. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

WOW! That is really beautiful garden! It looks so relaxing. And you got some GREAT pole pics too – so many talented pole friends you have! Looks like an amazing day. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
Is that a R Pole i see in some of the pics? How did you find it?
Do you think you could do a really aggressive flying back knee hook/spin on it? Or run and jump at it?
Thanks Georgiamarie, It is a Platnium stages star stand alone by the pool deck and x stage by the bar. The boys were doing aggressive move and jumping up high on it at 12 feet cuz I have the extentions. It does wobble with aggressive advance moves and jumps but it never toppled over. I like the fact that I can easily change the pole on the star from my brass 2 inch to a stainless steel 1.75 inch all by my self. The x stage is so much more sturdy for aggressive moves but it is also harder for me to set up all by my self unlike the star. I own both the xstage and star and love them both. I had 15 lb stainless steel round bars times 8 made by a friend to fit inside the legs of my star stage for added weight. But that stage was setup inside the house at my poling room. With the added weights, the star stage is not going anywhere. I guess you can call me the pole lady https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_queen.gif as I have 6 poles. 1 x stage chrome, 2 star standalone with 2 inch brass, 1.75 inch stainless steel and 1 black baked on painted galvanize steel, 2 inch brass in my bedroom that is bolted in and a portable 2 inch stainless steel. I keep 1 of the stages permanently ourdoors and just keep it covered. We rent out the stages for events , parties and i use it for teaching workshops.I cant pass by a room without poling. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif -
What a beautiful back yard!!! That’s a great location and looks like it was a blast!!!!
Thanks Empyrean. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif My husband and I designed it all ourselves. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_king.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_queen.gif The garden https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif is my other passion aside from poling and silks. The backyard is perfect for outdoor poling. -
