I just added all the pics in this pole jam forum under SUCCESSFUL 1ST SV ONTARIO POLE JAM. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif I am still in the process of trying to figure out how to cut down the video I made because it was over 500mb file and it wouldn’t load up. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif

The best way I can get a great knee grip is to invert into a gemini, use both arm to pull and hold yourself up while you place your lower leg on the pole. Remember to cross you ankle and push your hip forward while engaging your abs and leg muscles. The pushing of the hip forward is crutial to getting and holding this move. Trena https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_queen.gif was the one who taught me this mount into the knee hold in one of her vids. And its great because you get that hooking leg nice and high. Look into her profile and she has the knee hold vid there. The thigh high boots is a great way to train into this as it takes away 50% of the pain. I still have pain https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif when I do this move but its quite tolerable now.

I don’t know if the older model of platnium stages carrying case was metal but the new super pole I recently ordered is just a thin plywood case painted well to look like metal. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif The case delivered to me here in Canada had a huge crack in front of the case. upon close inspection, I realize it is not at all metal but plywood made to look like metal https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif . They sent me a new case after complaining. It is still heavy with the pole in it. About 100 lbs. I’m going away too for 2 weeks and want to take it with me but for sure the case will crack with the way those airline handle it and throw other luggages on top of it. Also, why is golf clubs and cases free to ship in airplanes but not pole https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_question.gif They weigh about the same.

Hi there, There are a couple of great Dvds out there for helping get closer to the splits. I love, love, love, Stacy Nemour’s Secret to getting the splits and flexibility dvd. Its half an hour of sequenced stretches to open up the hips, calves ,hamstring muscles to get you faster into the splits. She has great motivational personality, so I never get board exercising with her.I have been doing her dvd since sept. I went from my front split at 17 inches measured against the wall , to 6 inches to the floor. My side splits was measured at 19 inches and I’m at 11 inches to the floor. It has made a huge difference in my flexibility as my legs are now perfectly straight when I do the spinning chopper. My legs in the chopper use to be bend and awkward looking. My only complain about her dvd is that she doesn’t hold the stretches long enough. But I and others just pause the dvd to hold the stretches longer. You can get the instant download from her site for $9.99 and just copy it to your own dvd. Another good stretching method is Bob Cooley"s Genius of flexibility. Hope that helps., https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_salut.gif Joni
