Great tips girls on different tool to aid with stretching to get into the splits. I’m giving myself a year hoping to get into all 3 side of the splits, stretching for 30-45 min 5-7 days a week for about 2 months now. I am seeing progress each month. My question is, once I do get into the splits, what do you girls do to maintain it. Do I still have to keep my same stretching regime https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_question.gif

I tried the jacknife for the first time this week. I first half handspring into and extended butterfly, split gripped then into an ayasha then into a jackknife. But I couldn’t hold my balance in the jackknife and flipped down almost twisting my arms. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif,

Aussie sexy climb was taught to me by an instructor who trained with felix in australia for a year. Left leg goes up high on the pole bend like starting a basic climb. Then pull up with both arms, right leg kicks back straight then bend and then sweep forward to the front, straight leg and pointed toes. Repeat same climbing motion . Left leg always bend ,right leg always straight and pointed , sweeping as far back to as far forward you can go.The grip is between the thigh for the sit hold. It looks very sexy and clean looking climb. I’m trying to download my 1st vid but having some technical difficulties. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif But I do the Aussie sexy climb and spinning side climb in it although my pole is only 8 feet. It looks prettier on the 11 foot pole at my studio. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Hi, so I redownloaded my first vid again last night and it went in upright. I could see it in my profile and the sideway vid was gone in my profile. But this morning even the upright one was gone. What happened to it? Thanks

Does anybody know what format of video to send in to download to this website? And how can we delete the first vid that is sideways so I can send it in properly? Thanks

You are halirious. Gave me a good laugh . But its understandable. We all love our pole. Its our closest friend at times. Always there when we need a me time. Helps us tone up and lose weight. Makes us feel great about our self.I would be lost without my pole. So , your in the right to freak out over your pole. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif

Sugardiva, You should order a pair of pole dancing glove to help with your grip. Mighty grip came out with 2 versions that are amazing. One is the super tacky grip which has a PVC type of material for a super tight grip for spinning pole as well as great for practicing advance moves that needs a very good grip like straight edge from cartwheel mounts. It helps strengthen your muscles with a tight grip while learning those moves. The second glove is for static poles giving a great grip while allowing you to still spin smoothly. It’s about $15.00 us at mighty grip.com. Take care of your wrist. Hope its better soon. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

MemberOctober 14, 2009 at 12:49 pm in reply to: I never thought I could ask anyone about this stuff!I got my pole a little over 2 years ago. My twin boys were 7 and my eldest boy was 11. When they first saw it up in my bedroom they said "cooool coool a fireman post. They loved watching me do spin and all 3 can climbed it before me. My bedroom is the only place that had room to put up the pole. Now my eldest is 13 and me makes me close the door to our bedroom when his friends come over. He doesn’t climb on it anymore like my twins who still does. The other day, he was in my room when i showed him the superman fall from the top of the pole. He said ‘ Wow mom, you can be like a real stripper."I told him that there is nothing wrong with dancers, they work hard and make an honest living. I told him that i pole for fun, fitness and the art of it. I told him he knows I’m a peadiatric surgical nurse who loves to pole. He said his friends wouldn’t understand and would think badly of me. So I respect his decision and close the door to our bedroom when his friends are over.
