Hi guys, so I finally learned how to exit out of the extended butterfly from going back into the crucifix https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif Alot more graceful than dropping back down to the floor. And alot safer too since I sprained my baby toe before doing this. Now I would like to learn exiting using the flatline scorpio but i can’t seen to get it from watching the vids. Do I rebend my extended butterfly into a basic buterfly bending my hooked leg or grab the pole with my hooking leg at the knee pit then swing my free leg around into a gemini? Hi pp, the V sit against the wall is a great stretch for opening up the inner thighs. Start by putting your bum as close as possible against the wall. Then lye down looking up at the ceiling. Put both legs up straight against the wall open as wide as you can in a V position. Let gravity do its job. Slowly opening and widening more with your legs. Hold it for as long as you can. A friend of mine who is a yoga/pilate instructor said put a song on and hold this position for the entire song. Then 2 songs the second week and so on till you can watch an entire 30 min show on tv with this move. She said it really helps with getting into the splits faster.
It’s so hard to stretch today cuz I worked a 12 hr. shift at Sick kids hospital . I pretty much ran all day ,so there is my pre stretch warm up. Each time I go to the washroom, I try to do some bending and touching my toes stretches as well as other stretches i can do until someone bags on the door. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif -

Since I am comfortable and efficient in my front half handspring into extended butterfly, I think I will start there to try and flick both legs up using the baseball grip on my upper dominant hand. When I’m successful with that, I will attempt kick back cartwheel mount. I really want to get into a straight edge from any flick up mount. This is my ultimate challenging goal. I will finally consider my self a great poler if I accomplish this. I fell in love with poling the first time I ever saw someone pole dancing at a club doing this move. It has taken me 2 years to actually get to the point of even thinking I could actually do this. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif I got the superman and the superman fall in 3 days which gave me the confidence to think that I may be able to get the cartwheel into straight edge. I too have been doing daily stretches using stacy nemour splits and flexibility dvd for 30-45 min for about a month now. I went from 19 inches to 17 inches closer to the ground in my side splits. I measured myself against the wall. But the big difference I noticed is in my hamstring flexibility. When I did the chopper before, my legs would never straightened. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif It was always bend at knees because of my tight hamstrings. My favourite daily stretch is down ward dog.

2 weeks ago,at the end of a 2 hour pole class, I tried the knee hold and got it and was able to hold it for a long time.. It didn’t hurt at all when I was in the hold. My instructor said i found the sweet spot. Then I go home to show my husband and I couldn’t do it. I haven’t been able to do it since and again it hurts like a b—h. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif I think it was just a fluk.
