OMG! Change of plans again! Kirsten and I will be coming on the 16th. We’ve now moved the recital to June instead. Back in again. Save us two spots! LOL! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Okay thanks for letting me know!

I was trying to use that quote thingy to tell Pheonyx that I’d like to come to her studio too, but I guess I’m "challenged" using such technology LOL! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif Anyhow, I will be there for sure. I will find out about KIrsten and Eric. Do we have to register anywhere, or just let everyone know on this SV post that we are going?

Bad news ladies: Eryx Studio’s Year End recital is on May 16th. The Pole and Burlesque was supposed to be on the 15th, but they moved Burlesque to the 16th. That’s Kirsten’s baby, so she will definitely not be there. I’m in that number as well, so I’m out. Eric has to run the whole thing, so he won’t be there…..WAAAAAHHHHHH! I’m so bummed. I really wanted to go. We will have to try to make it for next month. Sorry!

We want to come for a drop in. What days do you instruct Pheonyx?

Kirsten and I are in, if we don’t have recital stuff that day. Eric won’t be able to come this time though, due to recital.

I’m so looking forward to this. I hope I can make it. It all depends on work though….I’ll let Poleophile know too. She’ll probably come!

Thanks,

I am soooooooo excited! I’ve never been to one of these before. I’m hoping to learn a lot! And I’m looking forward to meeting you Joni, and everyone else!

S, what you did was amazing! The outfit fit you perfectly. You’d never know they were a bra and panties set! And the detailing? INGENIOUS! What I’ve done recently was, pretty much same as you, take a black strapless bra, which can convert into a halter, and sew these funky gold sequined, black lace strips onto them. The look was a belly dancing top, and trimmed the same onto a black skort. It looked HOT! (I hear you on the strappless bra thing. I have yet to find one to hold the girls up!) I’ve also taken an spandex runner’s top (full sleeves, capped neckline), and cut and ripped with scissors, made it a-symmetrical (cut one sleeve off), and made this cool futuristic top, or goth look, or whatever you want to call it. I’ll take some pics this week and post them, so you can see.

I found out about this from polephile. Count me in too! We’ll probably ride together!~

Hi There,
I started at age 42. I had always been interested in the art of pole for as long as I could remember. At 42, I started to feel empty and lost. I have 2 great kids, and a wonderful husband, but all of my time and energy was being spent taking care of them, the house, my job, the yardwork…blah, blah, blah….I was taking care of everything else, except for me. I decided enough was enough, and thought I’d try polefit as a way of getting back into shape and feeling good about myself again. All I can tell you is: It was worth the trip! I toned up, lost weight, and got my "Sexy Back". I fell in love with pole dancing, and now am striving toward being the best I can be at it, as well as create a little side business (Pole-Tastic In Home Pole Parties), in hopes that I may inspire women, who are just like me, to live a little for themselves ~ regain who you once were…That’s where I’m at in my pole journey…I hope that whatever your reasons are, you at least give it a shot. Don’t worry about the age thing. Age is a number, not a state of mind.
Good luck in your endeavours, and hopefully we will see some vids of you on Studio Veena!Regards,

Hi There! I’m from Brantford Ontario, like polephile. Actually, we both go to Eryx Studio in Brantford. Please come one night to check it out! As for buying a pole: I started off with the Carmen Electra Pole to try it out. Cheap ass shit, DO NOT GET THIS ONE! It will fall apart on you in no time. I would recommend the Lil’ Mynx or X Pole. I have both, and they’re great. They are both portable, so you can throw one up wherever, and it extends up to 10′. I also have a platinum stages stage pole. That’s what I use for exhibitions. Platinum Stages works very well too. I’m dieing to try the Star Stand Alone by Platinum Stages, It looks AWESOME!
Ordering a pole off the internet is not as bad as one would think. You just need to know the reputable websites (like Lil Mynx, Platinum Stages or X Pole) to order from, or order them off of sites that promote those products, (like this site). You can also use Kijiji (that’s how I got my Lil Mynx and stage pole), or Ebay (my X Pole). Craigs List may also have some posted on there as well. Just steer clear of the cheapy kinds (Carmen Electra, Peek-A-Boo, and the like). Trust me, those are complete crap and a waste of your time and money.
Hopefully that helps you get started! And Polephile and I look forward to meeting you at Eryx!Regards,
Kalli
