I had to get rid of a dining room table for space to dance in my 1 bedroom apartment. I rarely eat at the table and instead opted for a smaller table I can fold out if I have company and put away otherwise…

Awww – my dog is the same! He likes to watch me spin around, and when I first got my pole he’d just watch me do spins and my foot would be smacking him in the face over and over and he never moved – just stood there…I think he was just guarding to make sure I hadn’t gone crazy with all that spinning! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Yea, now that I think about it,maybe putting some flooring wouldn’t be the safest thing. I am picturing the pole just slipping right out while I’m inverting or something…So…I think I’ll stick with my rub burns…But next time I move, I’m insisting on a pole room with some hardwood floors!

Have you looked at Platinum Stages? I believe they have pieces you can order for vaulted ceilings…and I’ve heard they’re better than Lil Mynx.

Thanks for all the advice ladies…I know it sounds corny and wierd, but I’m now learning to start "reading" my pole…I’m learning how the weather affects it and that it needs a "warm up" just like I do.
AAAND, everyone was right about the Windex. It helps with grip for about 10 minutes, but it was leaving a lot of residue…once I washed that off with some water and a towel, I was able to have a great grip.From now on, I’m only putting water on my pole. I have a titanium gold X and i’ve noticed a few small parts that the gold is chipping away. It doesnt’ feel different, but it just lets me know I need to start taking better care of it, so water is always a safe bet!

Sorry I just now read this post, but I would really hate it if you quit poling!!! I know this sounds corny, but I watched one of your youtube videos a while ago and it made me want to start pole fitness….Why? Because I had been interested in it for a long time, but I like you ahve insecurity with a few extra pounds I want to lose…I had only seen the really really skinny , size 0 girls doing it and I felt like I’d look stupid…Then I saw your video and I was like – whoa there’s a REAL woman doing it and you looked hot!
I have disappointing practices too…too weak to even fireman spin without landing in a heap, and it is sometimes discouraging, but keep up at it – because you’ve been my inspiration to start! Hopefully I’ll post some videos of my own soon – that will definitely cheer you up, seeing my clumsy butt trying to spin around! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_blackeye.gif

I ordered mine on Monday and had it by Friday – which was pretty good. I am in NC, and it shipped from CA.
Did they give you a tracking number so you can track the shipment? -
I’m in Southeastern, NC…in a small town, about an hour away from Fayetteville. Where are you?
PS – My X-Pole did ship out yesterday, they sent the tracking info. It’s estimated to get here on Friday!…Which means I’ll have the WHOLE weekend to dance – no interruptions! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif Hope my fiance didn’t have any plans this weekend!
