Last night I was doing a shoulder mount V – a relatively new move for me but I’d done it successfully before, then next thing I know BAM. Fell and hit my head directly onto the X-stage. I still don’t even know how it happened, but thankfully just minor concussion. It won’t put me off going on a pole though, these things happen.

I learn on the 50mm with my instructor, but decided to buy a 45mm x-pert chrome, as I thought it would soon become the standard. My fingers are long, i'm tall, and i'm starting to think getting the 45 was the worst decision I ever made. ): Feeling so demotivated… I've been having trouble with my back and it seems that I can feel it hurt when i'm on my 45, but in class on the 50mm I can do everything fine with no pain at all. :/

I'm in too! Maybe this will help get me motivated enough to work on the splits every day, or at least a couple of times a week.

A similar thing happened with me, and the doctor told me to give it a few weeks rest (no pole!) and take some NSAID’s. 3 weeks later I’m back on the pole, my muscles don’t hurt anymore, and I feel stronger than ever after a rest. Hope this helps.
