I ended up having to stop all pole activity for a couple of months, I took anti-inflammatory drugs like crazy, iced it some when it really hurt, and starting getting some regular massages. Once I finally started feeling better I began doing scapula exercises and working again on my upper body strength training. Eventually it all healed and is fine now, but it did take a long time. Good luck and I hope you get relief soon.

I started my lessons last year at the age of 53 with the friend and we fell in love with pole immediately. After my injury I began reading more and watching more videos that showed me all the things I was doing wrong. It took me several months to heal from my injury. My friend and I both have poles now and we are working together, with the help of StudioVeena lessons, to learn the right way to pole!! We are on day 3 and are prepared to start over as beginners, so that we can enjoy it for years to come. A dead-lift by age 60 – I’ll take that challenge!!
