Wow greyeyes! I didn’t know there were multiple people in this struggle. I hope you find a powder coated soon or end up finding somebody to do it like I might. Chemgoddess, do you happen to know how I could go about doing this?

Thanks! I’m going to probably end up buying one full price, because it seems like they’re worth it

I’m pretty sure it’s the finish. Although, since I’m doing it over again, I’m going with 45mm for better leg holds

I don’t think so. They made me feel huge and I almost never feel that way. I’m not twiggy, but I’m not fat either. They were all smaller than me and made me very aware of it. Other than that, I think it’s a great studio with some awesome instructors. And thanks Charley, you’re making my day! :))

Yes, and I really appreciate the detailed response. I have not done much on static, because I have noticed it is harder for me. I am very strong, but I need to do the conditioning. It is hard to resist spinning, but you are right: static is an important skill to have, and I certainly don’t have it. Unfortunately, I can sort of afford the studio, but I didn’t really like it nearly as much. The girls there are not very nice and it’s not a supportive community. It is about a mile from one of the largest universities in the country, and I think that contributes to the tense and less accepting atmosphere. I was the curviest girl there, and although I love my body, the others did not. I got a lot of strange stares when I wore my short shorts, and it made me feel uncomfortable. Thank you sooooo much for all of your helpful input :))

Yay! I can climb and can hold, so this is great news. Thanks, Veena!

Nevermind, I just got it installed securely by a licensed handy man for only $30! I would suggest anyone who is having this problem to call the handyman and have it done right 🙂

Yes, but it is brand new, so I will want more than for a used one.

I am also choosing between ss and powdered lil mynx! I already have my ss and was thinking about trading to coated due to the reviews about it being slippery. I like it so far, so it must be body chemistry. Thank you soooo much for your opinions. I am definitely going to get ss, because I live in Florida and we don’t really have a cold, plus I have leg warmers with grip. I also am dead set on being able to spin on static without grip problems. You ladies are a life saver!

I’ve been to a really awesome foxy floorwork class! It taught me how to do some of the stuff I learned on here, but not in such good detail. I would love a doubles class!

You are so incredibly helpful! Thanks for sorting all of this out and helping me find new things. I think I’m going to go with Prince, and try the bowlers one, too! Thanks again! Don’t be discouraged. Everyone learns at their own pace! I’m sure you’re doing great 🙂
