I’d still give it a try. Xpole will tell you the same thing.

Have you attempted the “broomstick” method (I use a metal rod or pvc piping) This is the best video I could find of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2M3jmHUosR0

Are you trying to get it in or out? Because it looks pretty well in?

I prefer it without holding my top foot. If I hold my foot, it feels like my knee is going to pop off. So it is possible. I think most people call that a bird though.

I got confused and I lied. Sorry. It was 180 and we split it among 3 people. Worth it though. The workshops were all 85.

Verticali- I booked one for a friend’s bday in 2012- it depends on instructors- they set their own price. I booked with Jamilla for 85$ but there were people charging upwards of 150. (Jamilla ended up not coming and we had estee instead and it was wonderful.) Even though it’s way more than the workshops, it’s totally worth it. The personalization makes it so much more worthwhile than taking multiple workshops that aren’t quite what you’re looking for.

I recently switched to a 38. I have never gotten blisters so badly from pole… It’s so much easier to use, but I can’t pole for a long enough time because my hands hurt too badly! Does anyone else have that problem?

I’m in Cle and have a 38 stainless… Not sure if that helps, but I’m always looking for pole buddies.

However, any blinged shoes I’ve gotten from pleaser have had multiple rhinestones fall out within the first use. I avoid that on purpose. My current favorites are pleaser delight 1018 style. I pretty much love anything open toed. I’m a 6.5. A 6 is snug and my toes go over, a 7 is slightly too big but it fits the length of my foot. I get inserts to make them more snug. http://www.target.com/p/fab-feet-ball-of-foot-black-3-pack/-/A-15034742#prodSlot=medium_1_12&term=fabfeet For closed toes shoes, because pleaser is SO narrow, I go up even another size (8) and use point shoe toe cushions to fill up empty space/decrease pain. http://www.discountdance.com/dancewear/style_GEL.html

It drives me insane. I also cannot consistently get the transition from butterfly to split grip ayesha without losing balance. Also the move that we have called the felix arch (not sure of the real name) been working on it for 8 fucking years. My arms are too short. Chemmie will confirm that.

Is it wrong that I want to see him do body waves and booty pops in that position?

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK1279/?report=reader A very thorough description of EDS and diagnosis. Pg 18-19 really talks about management.

Typically when someone is hyperflexible, they will be more prone to injuries. One way to prevent injuries in a hyperextensible joint is to build up muscle strength around the joint to stabilize where collagen isn’t doing its job. This requires almost constant conscious thought about engaging the muscles around the joint until it becomes habit. If she’s willing to do that…why not. If she really does have Ehlers-Danlos, I would say get checked out for other manifestations of Ehlers-Danlos (They’re more prone to hemorrhagic strokes). If everything checks out, go for it!
