Alternative-footwear.co.uk has a lot of pleaser shoes and also amiclubwear.com (it’s a us site but they often have huge discounts like 50% which includes their pleaser stock so even with shipping it’s cheaper then buying in the U.K.) I have had a few pairs of pleaders off eBay too oh and jagerstore.co.uk have a huge selection but are often full rrp so can be a little pricey x

the funny thing is my balance and grip felt pretty good but if i try to invert then get into the same hold it fails every time!!

the looking at your feet thing really helps big time too, before i did that i was getting close but never staying up there

keep trying!!! you will get there !!!

A: Muscle is not heavier than fat – one pound of muscle weighs the same as one pound of fat; however, muscle is much more dense, and so one pound of muscle looks like one firm baseball, while one pound of fat looks like three soft NERF balls. An increase of muscle does obscure a loss of fat, and so don’t get hung-up by your weight on the scale. If you want to follow the actual changes in your body composition, either get tested at a high-quality gym or track your measurements all around your body (chest, waist, hips, thighs, etc.)

WHAT is this?? YES muscle is heavier then fat! one pound of anything weighs the same as one pound of anything else IT IS STILL A POUND. however a tennis ball size lump of muscle will weigh more then a tennis ball lump of fat. sorry i have no idea who wrote that but it doesn’t make any sense. i have gained a stone (about 14 pounds) since i started poling but my body looks ten times better and i’v lost a size in clothing from a US 6 to a 4. another tip could be to use a body fat moniter to show the change and not worry about it however don’t watch weight, watch size xxxxxxx

August 22, 2010 at 4:24 pm in reply to: Back pain.

Long before pole I jarred my back quite badly and in a similar place, it felt like a tight pain which was made worse when i tried to lift things or even just sitting for too long. I let it go on for ages (months) and it didn’t get any better and i eventually went to an osteopath (not a doctor because they will just give you painkillers and not fix the problem). It turned out the muscle i had pulled was actually further down my back but because all the muscles effect each other the pain was higher up. Anyway the point was she fixed me by working the cramped muscle, about two days later the pain was gone and has never come back https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif . If you wait another two weeks and get no improvement i really would go see someone that can work on you a bit
i would be terrified https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif if i had to stop inverting now at my point so i understand your worry!!
i hope you get fixed or feel better soon!!!xxxxxxxxxxxx

Are they the plasticy ones across the top of the foot? if so warming (not to hot to burn your foot!) the plastic with a hair drier to soften the plastic then putting them on will loosen them a bit and make them fit your foot better and be more comfy. but otherwise i’m not sure as my pair fit ok, hope that helps xxxxxxxxx
