Middle splits, fonji, iron x. I also want to get my twisted grip hand spring but I’m hoping that’s before the end of the year

Thanks so much Danielle I will definitely give all these a try! Hopefully my ankle weights aren’t too heavy haha!

I’ve been using Dri Chlor for about 4 or 5 years and never had a problem with it staining anything at all. It absorbs into your skin so I don’t think it would stain the pole? Either way I don’t have a choice, I’ve tried Botox and other methods of controlling my hyperhydrosis and they didn’t work.

I have a medical problem of excessively sweaty hands and feet so I use Dri Chlor on them which is extra strength deodorant. Stops my hands and feet sweating altogether! I’ve suggested it to a few people and it’s worked for them too.

Robinb I haven’t been poling long, only 3 and a half months, but when I first started I couldn’t pole more than once or twice a week otherwise I was just wasting my time because my body was so sore all the time and u would get frustrated and not be able to do tricks. A few months on now I pole 5 or 6 days a week but often try to focus on different moves each day as otherwise my body gets too sore! For example, on Mondays if I focus on a lot of upper body strength moves like the ayesha and extended butterfly then on Tuesday ill put these aside and work on things like spins and cross ankle releases etc. Clearly it’s not that you can’t do it, your body is just tired!!!
This is just some tips and experience from what I’ve encountered from my own, just my opinions!

I submitted my first challenge video for this! It’s also my first freestyle video too, very messy!!

The exact same thing has happened to me… My dad says it’s okay it’s just that the ceiling has separated from the joist?

I’ve been wondering this too as I live at home and only practice late at night and don’t want to wake everyone up.
Just wondering what type are the best though as I think bulky ones may get in the way or risk being broken

Dancing in the gray thank you for your very in depth response! It is good that all your reasoning comes from a health perspective… I really value your opinion as I do value the opinions of everyone in here.
I think I will need to experiment and see what works for me but thank you for your advice!! It is very valid and many points you brought up which I never considered before

I find the CKR to hurt so much more than the CAR, I have very meaty thighs! Although I feel much more secure in the CKR.

I looked up princess grip on Pole Dance Dictionary and it showed the same move. It’s so confusing how everyone calls things different names!

A lot of people seem to find it weird that I am progressing quickly… I can't actually do the candy/shoulder mount.. I am just practicing lifting my legs into position. My instructor was sure I could start to work on it as she said it will help my strength in other moves.
She said that as I could hold a flag for 30 seconds I had the strength to begin learning it. I have tried it and am no where near inverting so it's all good everyone.

Thanks so much guys!! I can’t believe I’m learning a shoulder mount after a month and a bit of poling !!!

Don’t give up!!! Only a couple of weeks ago I was having the same problem with letting go of my hands as I’d just learnt the basic invert. To get over my fear I just kept practicing it over and over and over at home on my pole and I eventually got it!
When I inverted I got myself I slide closer to the floor so if I felt unstable I could put my hands on the floor. Then I practiced letting go with my right hand. Then I’d put it back on and let go with my left.
Then, I would let go of both and just hang there for a bit. I felt that I had to make sure my legs were squeezing super hard before I felt comfortable to let go of my hands.
Please don’t give up!!! I am really really scared of heights so if I can do it so can you!!
