@ Maria T I also was able to get super low on my splits! Congrats on yours! Thanks Marlo! 🙂

The performances were all amazing… The Steven Retchless and Marlo Fisken workshops were intense… The warm up and stretching! Lol.. They are two very talented people and I will definitely take other workshops with them in the future… Flying Laura (female winner) is super talented! I took her workshop and her drops and inverts on the pole was just jaw dropping. I loved Deriek Pierson (male winner) workshop. He is a very beautiful dancer…
Awesome event! Can’t wait till next year!

@reenie I had the same problem when I started inverting. Since I didn’t have enough strength to hold the chopper position, I would just drop down from it instead of lowering with control or placing my legs on the pole into a snake (basic invert). I rested the injury for a week or two then thought it was ok to return to the pole and just ended up making it worse. Complete rest is necessary. Hope you get better soon!

Can’t wait! I’m taking Steven, Marlo, Female and male winners… Will anyone be in these?

Congrats on your move! Not an easy one … The best way to find stability and not shake when holding your Ayesha, is to find your center and of course arm strength to hold it steady. Also using the push and pull method. The hand pushing and the elbow grip pulling. Also, your legs have to look like if you’re sitting down when you open your legs to balance your body…. Keep working at it… It took me two months to nail it perfectly. 🙂

Thanks everyone! Those tips definitely clarified my concern. I took a workshop with Becca Butcher and she said the same thing you all are saying: its on the shin, cushiony part of the knee not the knee cap itself. I was just confused because other people place it on the knee which I don’t want to get into the habit of doing.
@polergirl I think I’ll take your suggestion about the video…. Might be helpful!
Thanks!
