R pole have hard bases too, I think you have to buy them separately though. They’re very stable and good quality.
They also do an r-pole play which is cheaper and also very stable, we managed to do some doubles tricks on one although they are only really meant for 1 person. No idea about shipping to Canada I’m afraid. X

Hi,
have you tried using two screwdrivers? They might be stronger and not bend? Also you can try heating one half
of the pole with a hairdryer so that side will expand and hopefully loosen up.When mine got stuck together I used the extention tubes from my Hoover and put them over the release tools to get som extra leverage and it worked.
Good luck! X

I use these poles in my classes, infact the r-pole video that has been linked is the studio I go to and thats my instructor! I really loven these poles, you soon get used to them flexing slightly as you climb them and you can really swing round them and invert with no problems. They’re ideal for this studio because they couldn’t put normal poles in because of the suspended ceiling. If they weren’t so expensive I’d get one as it would be great to put it in the garden in the summer!
I’ve got a 45mm expert at home and dont find it a problem switching between the two. My grip is a lot better on the 38mm but some people find some of the tricks more painful as theres less surface area to spread the pressure. x

how do you incorporate this into your pole workouts? i got a copy of p90x finally and am hesitant to start bc i dont want it to interfere with my pole training!
Ive been making sure I do one of the cardio DVD’s the day before rather than an arms one so i dont ache too much. On the days I do pole I’ll try and do the workout on the program is well but if I’m too tired I’ll just and carry on with the p90x the following day. x

Thank Lilbit, saw your pictures and I see its working well for you, your figure is amazing! I think I eat pretty well I just cant say no to cakes and sweets (we get loads brought into work!)
Would you mind posting me the kinds of food you eat on an average day. I’m trying to increase my protien and have starting having protien shakes after workouts. I also have starting eating the protien bars which I do find pretty filling and as they’re quite sweet they take away my sugar cravings.
Thanks again for replying. I really want to get my diet sorted as I’ll be so disapointed in myself if I make it through all the hardcore workouts but dont look much different because of my sweet tooth! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_porc.gif xxx

I think starting a progress thread would be a great idea. I’ve just done week 1 of the p90x, loving the excersice but I’m having trouble trying to eat better. I have no will power!! x
