Thanks everyone for the advice and clarification. I'm going to try using alcohol. I've been using windex and it just seems to make my hands slip even more.

Good luck finding a pole pal. If I were closer to you I would. I've been looking for a pole pal also. I find it difficult to practice without a class or buddy so i'm looking for a little motivation. Unfortunately I live in Woodbridge VA. So if anyone in Woodbridge wants a buddy here I am!! Good luck again Angie.

Agreed Katana. It actually went a lot smoother me putting the pole up by myself. When my friends were helping me we didn’t really know what was happening. When I put it up by myself I actually took the time to pay attention to what was going where and how things actually worked. I’m so glad that I fixed the problem, I was worried there for a minute… lol.
