ahh thanks that does make sense! now just gotta put it into practise  for some reason when im on the pole all sense of left and right and knowing which hand to put where just dissapears and i end up just hanging for ages trying to work out what im doing how i have got into this really odd position and how the hell you get outta it again! but thanks i shall try that and veena i am going through all your videos!!!!! xx

@ Empyrean what are good idea those posters are!! great for studios!! I have moved around the country and have found a number of times that the differant studios have had differant names for the same move and spin and they would be a great quick referance guide!!!

@Empyrean wow that necklace is so cute!!! and bless your husband he must be so proud to have t-shirts made and everything ( sorry i read your comments) My mum is super supportive of my poling which is great seeing as when i first told her I was having classes she thought i was going to stripper school or something and now she comments on all facebook pictures and even eyes up scaffolding!!! I love that people respect what we do as a bonafied techniqual physically demanding sport!!

I know how lucky I am to have my partner he is so into my poling he enjoys watching my videos, gives me song suggestions and takes pictures when I feel confident with a move. He even has a go on the pole every now and again. I think that this inclusion in my hobby as well as my interest in what he does makes sure he isnt resentful of the time I spend poling.I have only recently got my own pole at home (which I dont use enough I know!!) but before then I would have a pole lesson one evening as well as an evening pole jam and on Sunday afternoon I had a two hour drop in. We have opposite schedules he is at uni training to be a teacher mon – fri 9 -5 and I work in a bar often doing 6pm – 4am So I think setting aside some quality time together out of the house actually doing something fun together is better than spending more time together just watching TV.

Thank you everyone for the advice I have paid for a block of ten lessons so I have to finish the block I think im going to speak to them I dont mind about doing the grades but would like to spend some of the time learning new things as well I cant see that they could really have a problem with that. I have decided to document everything I can currently do and then work out where to go from there and I think making my own pole schedule is an awesome idea. Thank you again for understanding so glad i have everyone on here to ask all my questions

Hey guys
I have just got my new xpert I have been reading this tread with interest determined to use all of your advice to make sure I do everything right but when I started putting it together I found that the locking pin on my 180 xjoint is to large and doesn’t fit into its slot on the main pole so i cant get the hex holes to line up to tighten it. I haven’t been able to get through to Xpole yet but I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem?
