Thanks girls. Tried tonight and realised I’m doing the opposite to dropping my hips and arching Tryon to put myself in a straight line!! Will try again tomorrow and post vid 🙂

I only use grip in the winter when my pole refuses point blank to warm up no matter what i do to it!
I find having a bath the night before i pole and then using body butter on my legs works for me and gets my legs nice and sticky. I also use powergrip. Its only £3 a pot in the UK but omg it works wonders, its hell to get off your hands when youve finished tho..your fingers stick together!!!

Hey cali 🙂 it took me a year!! Don’t beat yourself up. I found pvc trainers and hairspray on the thighs really helped. I also went into a crucifix position but didn’t let go and slid into a handstand. I then focused on tryng to arch my body and take my hands off the floor 🙂 like the other girls say make sure ur pole is uber hot 🙂 good luck. U can do it!!

Oooh thanks 🙂 decisions now lol

Im with you both, the 45 is waay easier on the hands..
Its easier to practise on both though, when i started i learned on a 45 and i found i really struggled on a 50 and had to completely start all the moves again whereas now i can swap between them with ease
what do you find with the 45s and other grip though? i find teddys and things like hip holds harden on a 45 than a 50 :S

I was the 'Fat weirdo' in my school for years…. then when i was 16 a pole studio opended near my house. I went along and was the only person in the class who after 4 months couldnt invert…the teacher used to laugh at me and wasnt very encouraging, so i left. Plus the fact i could barely manage even a simple spin.
This disillusioned me and i decided that pole wasnt for me, i wasnt beautiful/strong/flexy enough 🙂 So i gave up.
A year later i had a random urge to start again, so i went down my friends house and had a little swing on her pole and, it all came back!! 😀 except better. The break did me the world of good and all of a sudden i was doing pretty spins and even inverts. I was hooked again 🙂
Now im doing teddys and working on bow and arrows and i am so proud that i have come so far, even when everybody in my old class doubted me 🙂 and im not that fat anymore WOOHOOO haha and ive lost loads of weight and am getting stronger by the week 😀
So there we go 🙂 Dont listen to what people say and practise, practise practise!!
If i can do it..so can you 🙂 x

Hey 🙂 I just do some light aerobics to get my muscles warm…jogging on the spot, punching, things like that to the point I feel warm and a.bit.breathless x

Hi breanne :). It depends on ur level of fitness and strength… Personally I worked on strength for a few weeks and then worked through beginner moves in order. Do you do anythig apart from pole? X
