Chrome is the slickest pole. I have one too AND all the issues. Get some itac2 first of all. Second, you have to be WARM almost HOT to stick so warm up with some cardio. Use a space heater. I have actually blow dried my pole before too. Try dancing to a fast song w out stopping to warm up. Also, that new lotion helps. poletopia.com for the products I mentioned.

I am a size 6 and got small/mediums. They are so stretchy. You do not want these shorts to be big in any way to prevent peekaboos. Measure the largest part of your hips and go by the chart. I find it true to size. You will love the shorts!!!!

I Have this problem also. I can not do the dismount but can shoulder mount very well. It hurts my collar bone so bad and actually broke skin one time. Is there something I am doing wrong in the dismount?

I also stopped on You Tube, but did you know you can set the comments to be looked at by you before they post??? I HIGHLY recommend doing that. That way, if there is negativity, you can delete it before anyone sees it and the person trying to start trouble will go elsewhere.

Both Velvet and I have 45mm chrome. It is very slick. The slickest in my opinion. I am gonna try the lotion too. Can’t be any worse.

Also, we use lots of good products in the salons to get that silky look. We use ceramic styling tools to blow hair out first. You can find them at Ulta. Then we use products like It’s A 10 Miracle leave in, serum, and shine spray. We also take small sections of hair at a time. All these things should get silky lasting results. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I do hair. I can help here. There is a service in some salons now called Brazilian Blowout and it will keep your hair bone straight for a MINIMUM of 12 weeks. If you do not wash your hair every day, it will last much longer. It is not damaging. There are products that must go along w the service though. The salon should have them to purchase. U just need to call around in your area and see who offers the service or something similar. Also the best flat iron hands down is a GHD. It is pricey. Like everything else that really works. You can find it at Sephora.com or your local Sephora store. As for the store brand you spoke of, we have tried it and it comes right out after humidity or water hits the hair. In small print it says not permanent and it only works on hair w no damage. There is no such thing as hair w NO damage!!!! LOL!!!! Feel free to message me w any other questions!

Also, I saw that you mentioned making your blow out last longer. You could use the Treseme dry shampoo to get a couple more days. I have tried it and love it. Make sure you get the one that is a spray though if you have straight hair, There is a whole line if stuff so you really have to read the can or lift the lid and look for the spary nozzle.

While it is true for most people that lotion is a problem, I, on the other hand am so dry, that I just slide down and chafe if I don’t use it. So when used at least 2 hrs before poling lotion helps me. It has to be a light formula. I use the new Bath and Body lotion. They just reformulated it this summer and it is perfect for me and poling. Once again though, don’t apply it right before. A good warm up is also VERY neccessary. You need to be warm. Humidifiers in your pole area help. Alos, have you tried grip aids? I find if I need to stick, I put Mighty Grip on. Put it anywhere you need more grip. If you are sweaty and sliding due to that, use Dry Hands or Gription (made by Chemgoddess on here) So different grip aids help different sliding causes. You can slide due to dryness or sweat. Also, the chrome xpole is the most slick pole in my opinion. Use alcohol to clean it if this is what kind of pole you have. Hope some of this helps!!!!

I love grip aid but don’t find myself using it unless I am trying a new move or unless I am sweating and sliding terribly. I like Mighty Grip when I am needing a good grip to get a move without sliding down to quickly. I can do the moves without the grip aid as well. I just sometimes slide faster. I don’t think it hinders the leaniing process. Try it with it and with out it. If I am breaking into a terrible sweat, I use a special formula made by a friend of mine on here called Gription. I love it. It is made by chemgodess on here. Also, If you are experiencing issues and you have a chrome pole, clean it with alcohol vs windex. That helps ALOT!!!!
