Yes! An ankle strap is a must! I recommend 6 inch with a 2 inch platform. The platform evens things out. All dancer shoes I have had are Pleaser or Ellie and they are super comfy!!!! I was using the baseball grip under the tushy hold. I have not tried the pencil or iguana mount yet. I kind of got a little scared after I got hurt. I think it may be just a sliding issue. Not sure.

Ok. Here it is. Most of those were just people falling and had nothing to do w the pole. The others were obviously not xpoles. There was one, maybee two that looked like they could have been xpoles that were installed wrong. Don’t worry girls!!!!!
