About 6 weeks, but I strength trained before poling, just not as often. Yes, I am taking a rest day in between pole days. On those rest days I usually still do some type of cardio and stretching. I have tried no grip aids and I seem to really struggle with slipping but it could also be that I am not that strong yet.

What I always say…at least you are better than most people who are pursuing nothing and settling for an unhealthy lifestyle. We are here for you girl! I'm a newbie too!

Thanks for the advice! I am not sure why, but I never even thought about forearm and wrist strengthening. Thanks a lot. I am going to spend the time I have to wait for my pole to arrive training hard at the gym and at home to build strength. It should make learning a lot easier!!
