MemberSeptember 3, 2012 at 12:38 am in reply to: Where did you start and where are you now?I met that girl in my German class at University and saw in her agenda the word "POLE" with hearts and stars and smileys. I asked her if it really was pole dancing. She said yes. We talked about it for the rest of the semester, she sent me the link to sign in for classes. I was like, there is no way I can do this, I'm not strong or flexible at all. But I tried anyways cause I loooooooove dancing, I had do 10 years of informal dance lessons and had stopped for 5 years. I started taking classes in Ferbuary until May, then I got my pole and found Veena's website, that's when I really started to improve (wannabe upside down, plank, climb, CKR, almost gemini) and I self-taught for the Summer, I signed in yesterday for Level 4, which means I'll skip level 3 yay I'm so proud of myself I neeeeeeever thought I could do anything like this. In high school I was failing PhysEd classes. This is crazy, pole is the best thing that's happened to me this year. I broke up last week with my 2 years mexican boyfriend when he asked me to marry him in secret so he could become canadian and I realized he had totally been using me. Pole is helping me handle this, I get so happy and crazy when I pratice, I forget about this nightmare. I can't imagine myself not poling. And I have just spent a very long time reading all your comments and this is awesome 😀

use sulfate free shampoo, the cheapest is from loreal, massage your scalp often and cut the ends every 3 months 🙂 im a youtube hair tutorial freak, im following all these tricks and seeing a huge difference. you can also use castor oil and try not to use heat, i wash my hair before going to bed, i.braid it and the next morning its all set 🙂

Yes he gave me three for my right scapula, I'm doing them everyday. And I have been doing your conditioning exercises for the scapula too, back and forth and up and down and high and wide rows. It's just sooooo frustrating! It's embarassing cause technically I have been poling for 8 months. I had 5 months of 1 hour a week classes, and then I got my pole and did about 5 hours a week before the injury. I am soooo glad I found your site though, you are great and so helpful and everyone is so supportive, it's awesome!

Wow thanks ladies, I'll take everything in consideration and organize a new schedule 😀 I'll post it later this week so you can tell me what you think!

Thank you 🙂
I also thought that 30 minutes (for someone who wasn't doing anything before) was a good start. I mean, it HAS to help, I can't believe it could be worth nothing. If I do a 10 minutes abs routine, it has to change something!
That article is really interesting. (except the part where they describe the horribly cruel experiences on those poor animals)
I think pole pushes us to our limits (mine anyways) and that's why we can do something new almost every week. I never thought I would get this far, and I'm just starting to invert. I think pole is amazing 😀 and I'll stick to my 30 minutes a day!

Hey I live in Gatineau and there's a pole in my appartment in my living room. There's space for one maybe 2 more poles if you'd like to bring yours 🙂 However it would have to be later this month!

That makes sense. Thank you! And yes I'll be watching!

Hey! So many people from Ottawa-Gatineau, love it! I work at the museum of civilization and study at OttawaU. I'm also a newbie, I did level 1 and 2 at 3sixty studio and I'm trying to get stronger before doing level 3 and going upside down!

Hey I'm new too and I'm from Gatineau, however I'm not inverting yet! I hope you like Ottawa 🙂 Are you studying at OttawaU?
