@audrey: when the weather breaks again in the spring, let’s rock the rig! 🙂
@Phoenix: I certainly will, but as Mr. Shakur said, “I ain’t hard to find.” 😉

I'm not trying to sway your decision at all here. That being said, I'm in the north Denver metro area and I have a stainless X pole. It does take a little while to warm it up, but I love it. Granted, I've never had opportunity to try any of the other finishes, but just wanted to let you know that stainless is good in CO. 🙂
Welcome to StudioVeena!

Phoenix: I am very much hoping to be able to get to one of your classes/workshops. Love your work.
Audrey: Isn’t Leesi a blast? I do some flying trapeze with her in the warmer months. Have you been out to the rig?Again, to the pole tigresses visiting CO, welcome! I’m not fantastic with places to stay as I’ve only been here a year myself, but I can try to help out with any questions. 🙂

I second the recommendation for Yogabeachbabe’s Boulder Spirals studio. So I’m biased because I just started teaching there, lol. It’s an awesome space with 8 14′ poles and a great vibe. If you’re interested, there’s a burlesque/pole workshop on 12/3. Safe travels, welcome to CO when you get here, and hope to see ya at the studio! 🙂

Thank you! I’ll be PoleShyner (lol, I find that amusing) there if the name is available.

This seems to be a great way to hold myself accountable to actually work out. 🙂
If anyone would like to share an invite and have one more Veena as a buddy, please send it to cmsunshinego@gmail.com.
Thanks!

I see, Holly. Well, good luck finding a place for aerial. I'm sure you'll enjoy it! Judging from your profile picture, you look really flexy and that's great for lyra. 🙂

So, if you have that in your house, I'm assuming that you have some experience but if you don't, please do lots and lots of research to stay safe! 😀

Welcome Bob! I’m in the same area: Broomfield/Westy. I’m sure you’ll find that this is a great group with lots if support. Enjoy!

Love the pole related names! I'm throwing mine in although they're not pole-y. Pumpkin for the orange and Weeny for the tort (short for Halloween), lol. 🙂

I usually use either my buit-in webcam or our camcorder. Gingercake's idea is great too! If you're looking for something fairly inexpensive but still good quality, I suggest anything from LogiTech. Good luck with your search! 🙂

Like Jenny said, give it a couple weeks. I did both last year (P90X at home, pole in studio and at home) and I was sore a while. Don’t skip the stretch day and do it more than once a week if you can fit it in. The results are totally worth it. Good luck and Bring It!!

I love this thread. 🙂
I've never had reason to have a stage name, but know that I like my first pet/street name: Ginger Van Meter.
I used to work at an all-inclusive resort and we would sometimes see who could tell folks the most outrageous, yet believeable story. I used to tell folks all the time that my name was Giovanna and my dad was from Africa and my mom from Italy. 😉 (they're both just plain American, lol)
