Is your pole warm at home before you get started?  I have a stainless steel one and use brass in the studio.  Brass doesnt need the prep time like chrome or ss.  I usually do a few climbs and my body heat helps warm up the pole some.

XPOSE FITNESS!!!  http://www.xposefitness.com  There are locations in Towson and Hanover.  Depending on where you are in Baltimore, one is gonna be closer than the other.  I go to the Arundel Mills/Hanover location.

My husband looks at the plumbing and ventilation and I look at ceiling heights when we go out.  I think its a fair trade off!

I will be there!! I am also performing at PoleCon as well.  As soon as Ms VA gets out of the way I will be working on that performance.  Song and idea are picked out as of right now.

I will be getting to LAX at midnight on Thursday (gotta love time differences, thats like 3a where I live).  Im still looking for someone to room with.

Cant wait to meet all of you!

Thats one thing I still havent gotten used to doing.  Im uncomfortable not only seeing myself on camera but hearing my voice.  I joke and tell people that why I went to school to work behind the camera.

When I put a video in to be edited, I see it more as a project so Im not really paying attention to what im doing.

You know I thought I was over working myself but then comes the big question – sleep or train?  I get super tired by 7p, that I have to take a nap just to make it through the rest of the night.

Does the splits DVD go through different types of splits or just the regular split?  Ive been debating on getting the DVD's since they came out but I havent been too sure yet.

Def have mirrors in mine, I also want it large enough where I could do creative videos with my pole stuff.  Very music video like.  I love doing those.  Different mounts for camera angles since I like to play with those as well.  A small place where I could do my sewing.  And lights on the floor I can adjust.

I live in one as well.  Im not sure how the vaulted mount would work with the ceiling but its worth a shot.  Long before I got my stage pole, I rented the studios pole. Its also a tension mounted one piece pole.  We put a coffee table book up there along with a wooden block and tightened it up.  That bad boy wasnt going anywhere.

I now have a star stand alone and its great except I run my ceiling fan when I have it set up.  But who needs a ceiling fan right?

congrats on the gig, I know you in good hands there!

One thing Ive always wanted to do when I became an instructor was to write down on the mirrors what we are working on in class today.  You can get those crayola window markers and write on the mirrors.  They come off with Windex when your done.

Words of encourgement to your students is good too.  Im all about the positive encouragement when im uneasy about some moves.

I go to the gym a few times a week.  My gym routine consists of:

30 min on the treadmill.  I mostly walk on an incline b/c of my knees.

Free weights – mostly focusing on my upper body (I feel like I really lack in that dept)

Depending on the day, I may do 30min on the bike.  I usually watch TV during this time.

Abs – I do various ab exercises and change it up so im not so bored.  I will also work on putting my back against the wall and get comfortable engaging my abs so I can do it in pole

Stretch and massage chair at the gym!

When I get the chance, I love to come down to Pole Pressure.  For me driving is 30min but a pain in the butt to find parking in the city so I just take the Metro instead.  Its an extra 30min but totally worth it!
