I am a 2 time c section-er. The second kid I was up and walking 11hrs post delivery – my nurse was proud of me since there were women who were in bed for days who just didnt want to get up. I was the one who also had the whopper baby on the floor too. Your OB will look at your Csect scar to see how its healing, then they will decide from there if you are cleared to workout again. Trust me, I couldnt wait to get back to pole!!! Hell I couldnt wait to go back to work and work out. I did really light stuff when I was on leave – walking mostly and very light cardio. I got the clearance at 6wks, plus having 2 of them I healed pretty nicely since the scars basically sit on top of each other. I had some pretty bad ass surgeons!
Please remember, csect is a major surgery. They cut into your abdomen to get your child out. Its not going to heal overnight. Thats why you cant drive for 2wks, you use your abs when your driving more often than you think! Go very easy on the abs first!
Pole was the hard part. I thought it was like riding a back and I could get back into it like nothing happened – NOPE! I really just started over and worked on basic moves and worked my way back up! By the time my son turned 1, I had dropped about 70 of the 80lbs I gained with him during pregnancy.

Ive done our annual eating contest at work on iMovie. I get many compliments of the video and promos I do for them.

I signed up for Entertainment level 2. I have a song and choreo in mind but I have to practice for it. But I know I have time and its only one routine.

MemberJanuary 10, 2013 at 6:01 am in reply to: Water drinking challenge? / how to drink more water?I bought a giant reusable cup from Starbucks (24oz sized) and I keep that at my desk at work. My goal everyday I am there is to drink 2 of them. That way I have at least 48oz of water in my system. Im also a 'cant start my day w/o a cup of coffee' gal. Ive been cutting back on my coffee intake since my new tumbler only holds 10oz. I try to only have one soda a day, typically at lunch. But trust me there are days where soda tastes like crap and I wonder why im still drinking it! I do the mio stuff from time to time if I really dont want just plain water. I have some mio in my desk drawer at work.

MemberDecember 27, 2012 at 6:13 am in reply to: What part of “Studio Veena lessons” did Santa not understand ?D Luxx – im the same way. I blame my husband for making me more practical about things. Past few years ive been trying to tell my family/his family that we dont need gifts, we would rather get ahead on our bills than get gifts to clutter up our home. Were thinking about buying a new mobile home next year and moving so anything we can save for a down payment would be a present for us.
But if my IL's got me pots and pans Id laugh at them – I hate cooking! I only cook b/c I have to, I find no joy or excitement in it.

MemberDecember 26, 2012 at 8:30 am in reply to: What part of “Studio Veena lessons” did Santa not understand ?Sounds like something my IL's would of done. At my baby shower for my daughter his Aunt thought my husband was going to starve to death b/c I didnt cook. She tried to give me a recipe book of recipes using Campbell Soups.
The past 2 yrs the IL's have tried to get me pole shoes, each year a fail. Never the right style, brand etc. Thats why I provide links to everything and just ask for gift cards so I can get my own gifts.

Its a body scrubber! I got one in my goody bag from Dangerous Curves!

https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif my foam roller! Mine really helps my shoulderblades and calves. Since doing Insanity, my calves are really tight so I try to roll them out before I start the exercise which does a world of difference.
Also use Veenas roller lessons, Ive gotten some good insight on using mine on different parts of my body.

I had the CAR a few times, but I wouldnt put it in a routine until I was comfortable doing it.

Im a 42DD, and it freaking sucks! I really want a reduction but Im going to hold off and see how much cup size I lose working out and go from there.
For sports bras I wear normally Under Armour (local company for me) and I have one Lululemon bra. I like them both and are comfortable and supportive. But I need something that doesnt give me cleaveage 24/7 when I work out. Ive been wanting a mika bra but nothing is ever in my bra size.
Ive been tinkering with the idea of creating a sportswear line for women with larger chests. Like you I feel like when you hit 38D and higher you options get really limited and takes the fun out of shopping for athletic clothes. I sketched some stuff months ago but I really need to get back to it and try and create a line with it.

OMG, where do I start! So many of us! Not only myself but Roz The Diva (I just love her! She was Luenells body double in Thats My Boy), Lori from Confessions of a Twirly Girl, Loveracing25 (shes on YT) – Ive watched her progress over the years really well. Theres some girls in the UK as well.
Never feel discouraged b/c your not 'standard issued sized'.
When I came back after having my son, it was hard at first. I thought it was like riding a bike, and I could just pick up where I left off of. I did start kicking myself for not doing beginner stuff while I was pregnant. I worked my butt off and lost about 70lbs after my son was born. I went into the OR to deliver him at 316lbs! But I worked and worked and I got better. The best part of it all is everyone is encouraging you keep going and push it!
