Anyone else feel like they’re boobs are disproportionally large?
YES! all the time! Its not fun when you 5’4 and your a 40dd. When I gave birth to my son I was a 46E. I almost cried when I was trying on nursing bras.

it’s gotten to the point where I have to wear two sports bras with the thick straps to keep them in and they are quite ugly! In my videos I put on my cute one and just edit the parts where they pop out https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif I would definitely love a pole line for bigger girls, I’ve always said I wanted to design a pin-up inspired lingerie line that starts at C cups and up because every time I bra shop all the really pretty bras are in the teeny tiny sizes and the grandma bras are the big ones, its very sad!
Ive been doing that since my teens! I now do one sports bra and those tanks w/the built in bra. I have to be careful though, I have insane cleavage some days!
I totally agree w/you on the bra choices. Its like were being punished for having big boobs. Its not my fault – its my kids and geneitcs! The thing I hate is paying an arm and leg to buy a bra, I know I need support but when they are over $44 a piece, it adds up.
Im all for your clothing line!
I have a really cute sports bra by nike. Its pink! I love it, Id wear it around the house!

Its like everytime they bring up Twilight, it looks like shes about to roll her eyes at them. Dude, be proud of the movie that got you your big break or you wouldnt be doing other movies for the $ that your making now.

wow I have never heard of that I sure do not need anymore than what the kids gave me.
ditto! I have both horizontal and vertical stretch marks! Thank you both kids and one being 11lbs at birth! Ive ben using bio oil and tummy butter on it. I know they wont fully go away but I just want them to be lighter!

MemberJanuary 26, 2010 at 6:36 pm in reply to: More controversy for a intersting topic 🙂I think that there are many forms of pole dance, my favorite is the expressive/dance variation. I do think that a lot of the"pro" pole dancers, no longer dance but only do tricks, and very beautifully!!! The girl in the video, did dance…and she flowed very wonderfully I think!!!! I"m not sure what that poster meant by "authentic" did they mean sexual, or what? Because that girl in the vid danced beautifully. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
Thats how I feel as well. There is going to be various forms of Pole. Im amazed at some of the women and the moves they can do on the pole, more power to them. Some are gonna see it as a prop, others a dance partner, others are gonna see how to do pilates, gymnastics and yoga moves on it. Its all in the eye of the beholder. I know ive gotten comments saying that my videos arent sexual – thats the way you see it.

I think i can be of some assistance in this problem…lol… i’m a D or DDish size and mine are quite annoying lol. I’ve learned to work around it on the pole, and with every move i have tried i never felt like there was one I couldn’t do, just cause of my size. I guess the worst thing would be having to go through a total costume adjustment to make it look decent. And being the only one around at events who is wearing a ugly sports bra while the other girls are wearing teeny tiny things. Although i do wanna start my own line of competition pole dance wear that is professional and sporty, while beautiful. my idea was something flashy and pretty like this…

but in a two piece and shortsIm in same boat as you! Im in that size as well. What do you modify to get the move if the twins are a hinderance?
I totally agree w/you on the costumes. Ive found a few websites that I like thier stuff but its too expenisve for me. I will buy something off rack and make it my own.
I like that outfit! I think you should go for your idea, you never know!

I’m pretty sure there are some stick-on pads that you can put on the bottom of shoes to give them extra grip. I was in my aunt’s wedding several years ago and they got some for my heels so I wouldn’t slip and fall (I was like 12 at the time). I’m sure you can find them in the shoe section of any store, with the Dr. Sholls and stuff.
ill have to check that out on my next shoe trip adventure!

Do they count hand and elbow stands as an invert in the comp Mini?
Yes, b/c it requires more effort. Vanessa and Hope clairfied it for me. They also told me I could use 2 chairs in floor/chair!!!
-
I was gonna suggest strength training as well. I still struggle to get the basic invert but since ive done more working out its getting easier.
-
I am gonna try guiding my legs up there. That totally makes sense. I also do have a wee bit of a commitment issue as well. I can go up, but when I feel like ive got nothing left then, im back down again. I can do it from the elbows, when I do that I try to get my back as close to the pole and do a small push off to get them up there.
Thanks everyone for your tips! I am going to use them today when I head to the studio.

Ive tried just about everything. I started with baby powder it worked until I got sweaty again. Ive tried dry hands which was awesome! Ive also covered the pole in shaving cream which im now trying to break my habit for the competition coming up. Ive done corn huskers lotion and rubbing alcohol too. What I have found that worked recently was washing my hands in antibacterial soap. It strips everything off my hands including the sweat. I was having climbing drama lately and I went to wash my hands to test out my theory and it worked!

do they make a tripod for flip? That would help as well.

I dont know about anyone else but every since reading this thread my confidence about my body has gone up. The other day I was in the studio and my under armor tank kept riding up. I kept it up instead of rolling it down all the time. Today I actually looked in the mirror and said ‘holy cow, im starting to look thin!’ I never saw myself in that light before.

Im a PC girl too, Windows Movie Maker is pretty simple to use. But to me Mac it much more user friendly and doesnt ask for permission everytime you want to do something (I want to stab vista in the eye!)
I have a mac but its ancient, I have imovie but never played w/it.

The only factor that prevents me from coming to USPDF is my car. Its still in the garage, needing to be towed to get the transmission rebuilt https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif If I get my tax $ back quickly (waiting on all my info) then im back on the road and off to USPDF.
If im going im coming from Hanover,MD which will take me 3hrs (maybe less depending on how I drive! lol). If anyone wanted to carpool with me and then a bunch of us can book rooms as a group, im game for it.
