I guess also we have to keep in mind they are a relatively new organization and everything they do for a while is a learning process. I think as they continue to grow they will offer separate/larger competitions for amateurs. But that’s just my guess. It is unfortunate for now, as I know there are many amazing performers who would love to be on the stage.

Thats my thoughts too. This is only the 3rd competition they have had since the organization started. Its all trial and error at this point. I think once the USPDF competitors expand, so will the # of regional competitions. I think within a few years there will be regionals and a huge final one.

Basically, anything can help until your pole arrives. Yoga, pilates even ballet strenght training is a big helper.

Ive been a performer my whole life. Ive been dancing, cheerleading and gymnastics for a very long time. I will tell you – I STILL GET NERVOUS! I get the butterflies and the nervousness right before my song starts. Then once that first note comes on, BAM! its on!

What gets me going is the audience, I feed off that energy. Once I hear them shouting it boosts my confidence even more.

Deftones is my fav, I usually lean towards darker songs,

same here. Im normally a peppy person so when I dance to very dark stuff they are shocked. I love dancing to stuff you wouldnt think of dancing to.

For Jan I am working on using Pet by A Perfect Circle. Alethea and another girl from youtube uses the remixed version of the song – Counting Bodies LIke Sheep.

I’d walk around my house for weeks saying, "Who’s a flag? Who’s a flag? Who’s a mfn flag?! I’M THE FLAG AROUND HERE OK?!!?"

lol! Thats funny! I think I may start doing that!

Jessalynn got me thinking about Pole Unity when she went the first time. I love the fact that is a celebration of pole and a good way to have a fun performance.

I really want to go but ive got to fork up the $ (esp that plane ticket).

judging by Brooks credentials, shes gonna be a good class to take.

I guess I should tell Santa to sign me up for USPDF membership since hes not coming w/the xpole.

Ok so ive just found out that there WILL be workshops available that weekend…!! USPDF should have more info on their site soon, but ill update once i know more details on price, length, date, time, ect…
On the 14th, USPDF sent me an email with the workshop schedule and the link to buy packages and sign up for workshhops. Did nobody else get one? I wondered why the workshops weren’t filling up very fast.

Im on the newsletter list but I didnt get that info. Are you a USPDF member?

Can you share the link w/us???
