Personally I’d go with the 40mm because I’m used to training and doing tricks with it and I’d use 45 now to do extra strength work when I’m in the studio, so up to your preference as to where you’d prefer to do your strength work vs seamless pole play (but I think u would love the 40)! FYI recently I fell off the 45mm cos I couldn’t fully wrap my hands around it to hold – both baseball and cup grip! Ouchies

Just wanted to chime in, I’m below 5ft and really tiny kid like hands. I used the 38mm in my old studio, but I bought the 40mm xpole brass at home which helped me strength train. But now at my new studio I go to, i do hop onto the 45mm stainless steel but I can’t perform some tricks due to hand grips..it makes a difference!

This is a good thread, thank you Kate for starting 🙂
It is indeed good to balance out pole with weights/gym/cardio work (I find that just doing pole alone made my butt sag lol – is it just me?)

What Stacia said is right – prioritize what you value in terms of fitnesss goals. I guess for all pole dancers it would be to have strength & flexibility. I might be wrong but what I’m doing currently would be a short HIIT session of legs and ab session before a pole play/class (it helps to warm me up!). On other days I’d work on arms/shoulder/back @ the gym for conditioning followed by a nice stretch. Perhaps fix the days you choose to do your workouts at the gym/home/pole and allow a rest+cheat day! Most days, I can’t help but jump on the pole for a quick spin and resist doing crazy tricks haha. Always listen to your body!

This morning I noticed some spots on my brass pole. Any idea what this is and how to remove it? I’ve tried veenas way of steaming the pole and also using wet wipes. It’s not coming off 🙁 heartache!

Hi! How about getting into the Inverted D from the Jamilla/Cradle as an alternative to doing it from a caterpillar? Once that’s strong, you feel secure and familiar then you can extend to an extended butterfly. 🙂

Do you have any videos to show how you get into the gemini from V invert? Do you mean when you V-invert and hook the leg to gemini, your hands get stuck under your knee pit? Have you tried hooking your leg higher?

Update – so I checked on the status of my order again via instagram and days later noticed that I got blocked off the page when I tried to access it.

The good news is, my shoes finally arrived and it is beautiful. Worth the wait if you can!

I recently experienced forearm pain too, from my classes & practice using lots of split grips. Rest well, and I find coffee after my practice session helped ease the pain almost immediately. Its likely your forearms working out too hard so up your protein intake too!

@maravillapole – I would still be ordering in future if she provided good customer service. But yes, 10 weeks since I broke my pleasers. Recently ordered another pair of pleasers. Equally happy 🙂

@azblanco – oh yes, I’ve seen it. Its so pretty but so pricey! Do post a picture once you order and receive!

@polewings – if it is most likely to be USPS, there’s actually an option to make changes to the address but you may need to pay a small sum to do. Check out the FAQs online? Good luck! $175 is not a small amount!

@newschik – she responded to one instagram post instantly (one I mentioned 4 weeks ago). No response to my FB but right after I received the email (2 weeks ago). Standard response that it will ship within the week but none up until today. Will see how goes!

Wasn’t sure if it was normal for business owners to behave this way… Hope someone could shed some light. Her standard response was simply ‘glitter heels are handcrafted and takes 6 week before they ship. your shoes are shipping within the week’. Um, it’s the 10th week now. Am not rushing her, just wanted to know the exact status and would b happy to wait if informed accordingly. After all its 4 pairs I ordered, not just 1. I saw that she was collecting orders for the recent pole expo in late August and said would be ready for pick up at the expo. (that’s 3 weeks lead time?) Disappointed but I’m sure it will be worth the wait once it arrives! 🙂

I was going to post the same question. It’s been 10 weeks since I’ve placed my order. 7 emails, 1fb msg and 1IG post to her since the 6th week- received only 1 response on ig (4 weeks ago) and one email (2 weeks ago) that the items will b sent within the week (but none). Finally received the tracking number last week but it was just a notification, no item was posted to the courier company to date. Hubby had the impression that I got into a scam, placing my order onto the wrong site. Comforting to know someone else had the same experience. I thought it was just me. I understand it is custom and takes awhile but at least be responsive to mails and advise the exact status, rather than get my hopes up high, right… *Anxious!

I regularly hit the gym, but now combined (or just inter 1 pole classes itself) and i’ve been sore ever since. It must be from all the balancing, stretching and pointy toes! And trying to get my inverts right! Anybody can recommend a good after-pole practice/class stretch workout?
