I don’t think pose is a cupid. The leg hooks from the outside in, rather from the inside out. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that move before. I gave it a try and it’s much more secure than the cupid.

"his tiny 0.0001% minority that complains really loudly and the government has no backbone and so they pander to their stupid ideas."

By George, I think Georgia’s got it. Pacify the extremists and further control the average citizen. The squeaky wheel gets the oil. All the extremists have to say is " THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!" . I’m honestly really sick of hearing that phrase. Tighter internet laws that allow your browsing habits to be shared? Think of the children! Putting people who are caught urinating in a bush on the sex offender’s list? Think of the children! Charging teenage girls who are still children themselves for sending semi nude pics of themselves through sexting, and slut shaming them (until one have reportedly committed suicide)? WOULD SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!!!

A few prudes with their panties in a bunch is ruining it for the rest of society and the government is goign along because it’s not only easier but give them more control in the long run.

Sorry about the rant, it’s one of my pet peeves.

"I think stuff like this will only lead to schools taking anything pole-like out of play grounds."

HAHA! You know, some people go skinny dipping in pools and swimsuits are too similar to lingerie, they should remove the pools too! And while they’re at it, why not ban sucking on popsicles and eating banana as well, it’s too suggestive.

I wonder if they have them at a Canadian Walmart. I love them! I can take pole pics for friends and family without offending anyone.

I wear heels at work all day so I like to pole barefooted. I also put down mats on my floor so it feels nice under the toes and I feel more connection with the ground and pole.

Thanks! That was a video was really helpful. A few months ago I was hell bent on lifting into a handstand, but was not successful, so I filed the move under "forget about it". I guess it’s time to bring it back out.

Thanks girls. I have arrived in Hong Kong and lo and behold, soup cans and water bottles are everywhere. I admit it looks kinda silly but it works. It’s too bad I’m so busy while I’m here, if I wasn’t I would visit Symone’s studio.

    What are shoulder shrug/plank pushups?

I really think you are right about not losing too much strength though. If all else fail I’ll just stretch a lot and come back a little more flexi (fingers crossed)

Hey, you’re right, that doesn’t look fast on camera at all. And you’ve almost got the aysha too!

I’ve tried spinny mode a few times and every single experience ended badly. Either I go flying around the pole so fast that I break the sound barrier or I end up on the floor trying not to upchuck. Englann86, are you saying that it only FEELS fast and it looks good on camera? I might have to video tape it one day to check this out.

I love this move, it is a perfect marriage of strength and grace. I gave it a try on my February challenge using twisted grip, but it looks nothing like that. My back is very straight, only my knees are bent. It’s very hard to get over the fear of falling out of the move if I arch my back. Does anyone know of a exercise to help get accustom to the feel of arching back without being high off hte ground?

This was beautiful and so well timed. I don’t keep a blog but I’m going through some tough times as well. Thank you Veena.

Yes, it makes perfect sense. I can SM with a t-shirt on, so I think I can get use to SMing with sweating shoulders. Thanks.

While we are on the topic of SMs, what do you girls do about sweaty neck/shoulder/hair? In winter, it’s not a big deal, but with the weather warming up I’ve been having to wipe up sweat before I can get a grip for the SM. How do all the big names manage to do shoulder mounts and SM stalls mid routine?

I have to agree with Fleur. Doing a flat jade feels like doing an over split. With the splits on the floor, you can push against the floor to get your legs flat, but with the jade you can’t.
