My current favorite move….time…gets the toes pointed…once I realized it wasn’t my toes holding me on it wasn’t an issue..good job 🙂

Lol…we don’t call it the meathook…we’ve been calling it “the rib crusher” cause you can’t breather while your in it. I’ve never tried it on the pole. I can barely do it on the trap.

I messaged the fit & bendy lady a question on facebook and she replied right away with a very thorough explanation. I can’t imagine the dvd not being of value.

Silly autocorrect makes it seem I talk like a cave man. Reposting my update: I have an interview with Purdue’s Veterinary Medicine program this coming Friday. I’ve been searching answers to possible questions & I’m struggling with the current event questions. I feel like most of the other kids have a Dr. at their back supporting them telling them what to say & I just have to guess. I’ve talked my way into a lot of places I hope I can talk my way into this.

My daughter's 6. She loves to show me up on my pole. Its amazing how flexible she is.
We do have some rules. She's not allowed to play on it when I'm not around. I have a tendency not to do a lot of twerking or grinding around my pole when she's there. So many other things to work on I can save the rump shaking practice for dad.
When we 1st started out I told her the pole is our secret. Now, I'm the one who's getting lazy about keeping that up. I go back n forth with ah the heck with it i'm proud i can hang by my feet or keeping it to myself and enjoying having a little privacy in my life..inspite of the mainstream adoption of corporate philosopy we have the right to know everything about you or you're not a team player. For the most part I follow the don't ask unless you want to be told policy. I do post on fbt my street poling pics and my progress trying to put my feet on my head. I dont caption it doing this for my pole but they can figure it out
My biggest worry is I'll never get the chance to explain my veiw to another parent & my kid will be shunned over it. As much as I'd like to say screw those other parents if they don't like it, the fact is I have a bit more experience in defending myself than my 6yr old. Obviously i can't shadow her all the time and she may not fare to well against a gang full of students or a disapproving teacher that heard about mom's pole. I've already had a row with this teacher over my priorities…can't wait til she sets up some group project and the kids come back telling her about the pole.
Its an eventuality, I'll deal with it when it happens. Hopefully, I've prepared my daughter well enough to hold her own and of course she knows I've got her back.

So many cool proffessions here…. I graduated a chemist. I've been in big pharm for 10yrs. @chemgoddess..when i was still in school i did a short stint at gojo. I still hate the smell of purell. Currently my title is instrument specialist..i repair hplc/gc/ms. i have an awesome boss & he is always worried i'll fall off my pole & hurt myself 😉
My true love is veterinary medicine though. i convinced the admissions committee to reopen my app after ten years to give me another shot. of course they didnt tell me yes until 3wks ago and the yes is conditional on i complete three impossible tasks..i am scrambling to pass the gre take a university physio class and shadow a dr…
I also have a six yr old daughter whose firstt grade teacher insists my kid will never amount to anything if shes not doing sixth grade work and a

Mine creaks too…only in one spot of the spin. I thought maybe it was because the pole was 100% perfectly vertical, it mostly is. I'm not good enough to be on spin so its not a huge issue for me. I do have to say when I did try spin the creak drove me nuts.
I also had to put a board below my pole because I'm on the 2nd floor. The pole was not settling even into the carpet as I tightened it. I was afraid the base might bust through the floorboards.

Its ironic & a shame for me to read this. I just came from a discipline where I just couldn’t take the divide anymore…between “art” & “industry”. There are handfuls within 1000’s that recognize the difference. I can say from that experience this…it didn’t happen overnight..its probably been an evolution of 100yrs… no matter how few people there are left of the “art” they will find each other to learn from and to share with. And if thats what you want it will find you. Yea I could forcee a day when there’s that divide, but i already know that out of a crowd of a 1000 they’ll be atleast one person waiting to see the dance that moves them & say to themselves, “I want to be that”…and therefore the sexy will never die.

Not that i know much…i just started my gemini..not to hi jack ur thread..i cant get both arms around my foot and stay solid..anyway..when i invert..i guess i do more of a chopper? than straight in2 gemini cause i’ll definitely land on my hands too low..once my outside leg hits the pole my arms are straight & i pull down on the pole with my arms which scoots my body up to get my legs higher and my hip up against the pole then i try to think to point my foot down on the leg thats bent…or atleast im pretty sure thats what i do…hope some part of that helps

That diet thing…yea its a killer..https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif There's really no denying it
I've been poling ~6 months???
I haven't "lost" anything but I haven't really "gained" either. I can say I definitely think I am stronger than I have ever been..People tell me I look better than last summer (8lbs lighter) because now I am tone. I was killing myself with dieting and running last summer. I got burned out. I know I need to add cardio again if I expect to lose any amount of weight noticeably in a short time but I like to pole better. I don't have to force myself to pole but to "workout" I gotta beg myself all day.
I figure it this way, something is always better than nothing. There's an eventuality with weight vs ability in this. As I want to advance I'll have to build the strength to be able to do the moves. The muscle gained will increase my metabolism by default I'll lose weight.
I could be wrong. I only just started. We'll see. Good luck
