Jen,
First of all~love u girl!!! so sorry to hear you have been so sick!!! The only info I can offer is that i took 6 weeks off from poling between Dec and Jan. Now i am NOWHERE NEAR your skill level, but i can say that i was able to return to my previous skill level and strength much faster than anticipated…couple weeks at most?? It def helped that i had a pole at home and while i did not use it during those 6 weeks (crazy drama at the studio i belonged to was making me consider quitting pole altogether) when i did decide to continue on i did SOMETHING every day…even if it was just 15 min….and everything just came back like it had never left. I know your medications complicate the situation and i can't be much help or even give good advice but i wish u the best and will pray for a quick recovery for you!!!!!!!!

same problem here. i have sz7 very narrow feet. i tried ellie's first, and b/c my toes hung over i went up a size. But they were just way too loose and i did not feel stable dancing in them. So then i bought Pleasers in a sz 7~they fit my foot great, but my toes do hang over. I think the only answer is wear the good fitting shoes, with a great pedicurehttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif or use boots……

do you find your "problem areas" to be your calves? or your thighs/hips????

def interested!!!!!!

@ peter: i have only tried level 2. Don't get me wrong, i ABSOLUTELY ADORE it for my inner thighs, calves, bicep etc. but i just happen to have exceptionally dry hands and have found that any type of grip aid for my hands just isn't neccessary/helpful. I do think ITAC2 is an amazing product and will def continue to use it on the rest of my body =)

i am the only person out of my group of "pole friends" that has very dry hands. I have found that if I use ITAC2 on my hands~i CAN NOT spin!!! at all!!!! but it works great as a grip aid for my body. I typically only have to use it when i work on new tricks. The feedback I have heard from my own circle of friends is that if you have really sweaty hands~one of the anti-perspirent products like Mighty Grip or Tite Grip work much better, but if you are not "sticking" to the pole when trying different inversions/static poses etc ITAC2 is amazing!!!!!!!

she would LOVE my house~my living room is our temp pole studio while the real one in the basement gets built!!!! There's at least two poles up at all times and its the first room you walk in to when u open my front door 🙂
The only time my poles have embarrassed my in-laws is when we asked them to come over while our satellite was installed (they give u a four hour friggin window!!!) i guess the satellite dude thought the house and the poles belonged to MY IN-LAWS!!!!!! who are both in their 50's. But they had the good sense to laugh it off. I realize I am the exception to have so much support from BOTH sides of my family and support from my husbands parents as well. I'm such a fireball with a hare trigger temper, it would not be good if one of them were not supportive…..

I have close friends in the tattoo industry, a brother that's a body modification specialist, and I myself am a bit of a tattoo collector. I will say getting my ribcage done was worse than giving birth, and i'd never do anything to jeopardize that. Your tattoo artist will tell u your ink is healed in 4-6 weeks, but in truth that top layer of skin is very vulnerable untill the "shine" wears off. u know how tattoos go in stages: puffy/swollen, scabby and itchy, peeling/flaking, and finally as it heals it sort of "shines." That shine is the newly healed skin and is VERY delicate~at that stage you can still damage your tattoo by friction such as poling. However, everyone heals at a different rate, and only you know what point of the healing process you're in…..hope that helps???
