I have close friends in the tattoo industry, a brother that's a body modification specialist, and I myself am a bit of a tattoo collector. I will say getting my ribcage done was worse than giving birth, and i'd never do anything to jeopardize that. Your tattoo artist will tell u your ink is healed in 4-6 weeks, but in truth that top layer of skin is very vulnerable untill the "shine" wears off. u know how tattoos go in stages: puffy/swollen, scabby and itchy, peeling/flaking, and finally as it heals it sort of "shines." That shine is the newly healed skin and is VERY delicate~at that stage you can still damage your tattoo by friction such as poling. However, everyone heals at a different rate, and only you know what point of the healing process you're in…..hope that helps???

Ditto to what everyone else has said~u may not have danced and entire song, but from what u did do i could tell right away that u were strong, graceful, and talented. (after 16 years of dance competitions i have an eye for these things, lol). i was too busy FREAKING out about using a 50mm pole and using an xstage for the 1st time…i think i just walked around the pole and did a few dips till the song was over!!!!!! I choreographed this routine two months ago on my 45 with lots of combo spins~what i do best. i can't even do a SINGLE spin on a 50 so all my choreo went out the window. but we live, we learn, and next time we will KILL it!!!!!!!!!!!

At this point~there seems to be something i love about everyone in the industry!!!! They all bring something so different to the pole. I will say that back when i first started and REALLY wasn't sure if pole was for me, i was VERY inspired by Amber Richard. I was shocked to find there was big name pole dancer out there with a BALLET backround~same as me!!!!! i became obsessed with her videos and just 4 weeks after i started poling i had the opprotunity to take a workshop with her!!! She definately inspired and encouraged my love of pole!!!!!!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif

But just from what i observed it sounds like her situation is very similar to yours! she is VERY close on her middle splits (and i even mentioned her great turn out, lol) but she def has difficulty squaring her hips for front splits. I'm sure since you had a similar issue u can help our friend glitter get her front splits https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I have always poled in boyshort undies bought a sz larger than normal so they r short but not so "cheeky." I cant really think of a spin where my thighs came into contact with the pole and got stuck b/c they were exposed….are you positive u r using proper form on the spins that are giving u trouble?

ITAC!!!!!! is my best friend!!! i know a lot of polers that hate the stuff, but i find if i put it on about 30 min before poling, my natural body heat warms it up and i feel like i stick to the pole but dont get STUCK if that makes any sense???
