BeccaL i feel so sorry for you ! No employer has the right to do that! I work in a supermarket too but they have no business in what we do out of work.

That customer was downright rude. To be completely honest too from what ive seen of personal hygeine of customers id say a slut or whore is more than likely to be cleaner than that rude person anyway.

You should not let your employer treat you like that especially if your a good worker and have an excellent working record. That is just out of order to discriminate from one complaint from a dickish customers closed minded view.

I hope you get the issue sorted and i hope that customer can see how much harm they have caused and that you are doing nothing dirty or immoral. AND your manager should be reprimanded too.

And carry on your poling. Your not at work you have the right to enjoy yourself!

Thankyou. Those blogs are very good indeed.

I know not everybody likes or will like pole and there will be haters. But it was just the way she completely changed her character. We were having a very good conversation until the point i mentioned pole.

I know im not harming anyone. Pole works as my stress relief. I will always enjoy doing it and im glad to be part of this supportive community. For all those that hate us theres people here to support us too.

I just hope in future people wont judge us for choosing to do it.

Gymnastics and the equestrian sports. I love watching the horses perform. The gymnastics is simelar to pole. If the pole does get into the olympics should it be a sub division of gymnastics?

well i went to a taster session last night with polefitness.org and i thought the lesson was great but i was hoping for some extra practice other than 1 lesson a week.

i would still love to find others for pole jams and fun on the poles https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

the instructr actually said to be it would benifit me if there was someone there to help spot for me if i was wanting to try new things. none of my family and friends pole so theyre pretty useless as they dont know what to do to help me

i have been using a chrome pole since i started poling and didnt really get much chance to try any other finishes on poles. My skin on my hands is very weathered and sweats a lot too. and i have trouble with sweating a lot too during any form of exercise.

i have just started lessons up in edinburgh and unlike the lessons i had in blackpool where we had all chrome xpoles this instructor uses stainless steel.

i found the stainless steel very hard to grip and get warmed up on. i could climb ok on it after i had warmed up the pole for a long while. it may have helped a bit that i was too warm and was slightly sticky, but i still found it hard to grip when spinning.

i think i prefer the chrome as its a bit stickier to hold and do spins on although it can still take a while to warm up.

hey sorry i havnt posted in a while. been really busy with work.

ive found some pole lessons near to me and theyre at a good price too.

i went to the first session and did an elbow stand, pole climb (almost a full pole sit), chair spin, martini spin, spinning climb and loads more! made some new friends too and have been working more on my own pole.

i was dead chuffed with myself the other day i was up late poling and i did a crucifix hold with no hands twice!! and managed to do a better climb and sunwheel spin https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

im getting there! cant wait for my next pole lesson on monday night https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

    ok bit of an update…

my strength is improving. im able to climb a little and hold a sit if i grip with both hands and legs.

still finding gripping with my thighs very sore. and my flexiness is still non existant yet,

pole walks and pirouettes round the pole im confident with.

im wanting to handstand but i wont let myself put my legs up to do it.any tips on how to overcome the fear of doing it?

    thanks guys https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

ive tried holding the pole and lifting my legs up for 4 days now but i still cant get anywhere without breaking into a sweat.although i can like wrap my leg round and lift myself up a little and hold for a few seconds at best.

id prob be a bit better if i didnt fear my skin burning when on the pole. and ive badly bruised my inside of my thigh falling off my bike so i wont be gripping with my legs anytime soon lol
