It could be a pinched nerve? My fingers were nub for a week or so kinda the same sensation you are describing. One of the physical therapist I work with gave me some stretches to do and it eventually worked itself out. I also had alot of pain in my back at the same time though.

But I agree it is very sturdy and my son and husband had a great time competing to see who could do the most pullups. Me?
