I pretty much post the same vids here as I do there, but I like the envirionment here better for comments 🙂  I use my YT to share with everyone on facebook too, so if I do a real sensual routine I prob wouldn't post it there, only here.

During the summer I tend to have good grip.  It's hot and dry here but once I'm warmed up my skin is dewy enough to grip.  In the winter I have problems with dry skin on my legs not gripping but I found that if I break open a vitamin E capsule and squeeze a tiny amount onto my shins, feet, and thighs I get pretty good grip.  Vitamin E is an oil but it's a thick sticky oil so somehow it works.  It DOES NOTwork well for hands though.  At least not for me.

I'm the same way.  Watching user videos on studioveena of women(and a few men) of all shapes, sizes, and ages was so encouraging for me when I was trying to decide if I should get my own pole.  I don't know, I guess I thought I couldn't do it because I didn't have the "bombshell" silhouette  that you always see in pole dance logos.  Thanks Veena for creating such a welcoming and encouraging pole community 🙂

Several months ago me and my husband were talking about how someone needed to put something like this together.  I was actually contemplating what it would take to do just simple still shots of each move and was daunted by how much work it would be.  I am so impressed that you got video clips of each move.  I also love that you have women and men performing the moves.  The general design of the site is very clean and well done.  Congrats on getting it all up and running!

OH MY AWESOME!  My foot is totally in my mouth.  The first time I saw steven rocking heels in a vid on youtube I wasn't sure what to think.  I think I was looking for artistic pole clips at the time to show ppl that side of pole.  And I had seen him in other clips without heels and I thought he was an amazing dancer, so when I saw him in heels I think I mentally took note not to show him to my family, lol.  I really didn't think he could win the audience over in heels.  The fact that he did just goes to show how awesome he is.  I loved how sweet he sounded in his pre-interview, and then just busted out his awesome moves.  He has an obvious love for what he does, and he is able to convey that with every  movement of his body when he dances.  I'm so glad he was brave enough to do AGT and that the audience loved him!

Thanks for posting this topic! It's so interesting to me, and it's why I think it's silly when highly sexual people (or just averagely sexual people) claim other people are repressed or prudish or unnatural if they are not into the whole sexy thing.  The pole community in general is definitely in touch with their sexy(which is refreshing compared to how I was brought up), but I think it's kind of naive, possibly even inconsiderate to assume that other people have a problem if they're not.  Even if a person is not asexual they just may not want to share that aspect of themselves with the performer up on stage or a colleague at work or even their friend at a party.  I think this is evident in society.  Wherever you look there is a code of conduct, with a different levels of appropriateness.  You probably would be thought of as inconsiderate if you pranced around in a gogo outfit at your local park, but totally embraced at Burning Man.  So yeah, I'm grateful for places like studioveena where I feel okay letting loose, but I'm also understanding of societal boundaries.

Lola, I've been waiting to see a pole dancer on SYTYCD too!   My sister and I watch it religiously, we take turns making dinner and have a SYTYCD night at her house every week.  I haven't seen a pole dancer yet but I think it's just a matter of time.  I have seen a burlesque dancer and this season there was a stripper that tried out.  She did all kinds of ghetto booty poppin it was awesome.  She didn't make it through, but I think the judges were thrilled she was there, they were extremely civil and thanked her for coming.  I was glad cause she seemed really sweet.  I think SYTYCD would be a perfect place for a talented pole dancer to showcase themselves.  I think in order to do well they'd have to tailor their performances/wardrobes to work for a general audience TV show but I've seen enough vids on youtube of performances that would work that I'm confident that there is somebody out there that could pull it off.

I think if someone was looking for free porn they'd probably go to a free porn site.  There's not really a shortage of those on the web.  Anyway, if voyeuristic lurkers are hanging out on studioveena it's no different than the creepy guy at the grocery store checking me out.

Don't feel bad at all!  You are right that doing a cradle spin with split grip can put too much strain on your lower wrist if you're not strong enough for it.  Keep progressing at a pace that makes sense for you.
