wow got two responses to this less then an hour apart. The only fair thing I can think of to do is to do it by time, which means marle gets first dibs. However sugarcookie check your inbox anyway https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

The only thing I don’t like about it is I got the art of pole series before it was pal on oneside and Ntsc on the other (my tease and routines 1 are double sided and it is great) which means I have to watch them on my computer or on my daughter cheap portable dvd (lol amazing that the el cheapo portable plays them) its not a huge problem and they are now double sided like tease and routines 1. I’m hoping since she titled it Routines 1 instead of just Routines that there might be more in the planning. I like seeing how she puts things together.

I orginally thought about using one of the empty stalls here as a "pole room" but changed my mind.

personally not a fan of mirrors in my dance space so I would want to put some gauzy fabric over it that I could pull back if I was working on a move where I wanted to see myself, although I prefer to have someone just watch or video it because I find when either riding horses or poling in front of a mirror you tend to look to much and can even put your body in some odd positions just to be able to see yourself. (just my 2 cents I know tons of the studios use mirrors a lot) with the gauzy fabric you could still see body position.
I would also put in one of those asian looking lamps that is tall and skinny fabric with a low voltage light bulb.
a lap dance chair to play on even if no one else ever sits in it. and a regular kitchen or club type wooden chair for some fun play like in Jamilla’s tease dvd.
If I had the space I would have one area as sort of a dressing room with boa’s, hats that kind of stuff.
But this is all coming from my more pole dancer then pole fitness perspective in the end it is your space you need to do with it what will make you happy and feel like using the space.

awesome! I’ll have to check that out, my brain is reeling with all the different names. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_compress.gif

Also I agree the instructors should know the names of tricks.
well there is a problem with that. some of these moves have 2-4 names! it is driving me crazy lol. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif But I agree with Chem, time should be made to do the research. You might not have the answer at your fingertips at the moment of class, but there are ways of finding out. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_ugeek.gif

well I’m here now so no biggie. Been having fun reading some of the threads. You all are going to hate me for bumping up old ones lol. But I’m finding lots of good information in them.
Chats work alright on my dial up, I used to be in a horse one almost daily for over a year. Had to break that addiction lol. Really depends on my schedule if you see me in there or not. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif
Wish like heck I could get to the pole convention this year, but my trip card is full. Work is going to hate me as it is (not that I care, they kill me enough as it is) But I will be at pole jam in Chicago, they will be told to take a flying leap. They know not to push me, I’m only staying there to finish paying off the credit cards. I could survive without it, but I would have to cut back on my shoe buying! oh and the wigs. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif

MemberMay 12, 2010 at 8:06 pm in reply to: how to excuse your hubby from your pole sessionsI pole when he isn’t here when i really want to get into the music and just let go. Unless I’m dancing for him https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif however I like having him when I’m working on new moves. He is great at reminding me to point my toes, or if working on something I saw on a dvd "she put her hand up higher" or spotting me when I’m trying something tricky. Up until a few weeks ago there was no studio near me so his visuals have been very helpful to me. But he also knows the difference between helping me practice and when he is invited to watch me play.

count me as a possible in for if you have one, just depends on if I can get out of work for the evening. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

we are a naked family. We don’t go out of our way to parade around naked, or out of our way to cover up. The girls took showers with us for a long time but funny story about that, my youngest when she was 3 went to the Jersey Shore with my sister and took a shower with her. She asked my sister why she had hair down there https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif my sister was like well doesn’t your mommy? No https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif I’m just glad she didn’t ask her why she didn’t have jewelery down there as well https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif that would have been a real shocker for my uptight sister.
My girls are also total pole monkeys. I’m jealous of their skills! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif
