I haven’t done any competitions but when I did a show case we went heavy on the eye make up with false lashes etc. Hope the competition goes well. I’m sure you’ll nail the trick you are worried about.

Thank you very much E-Vamp for all those links I will watch and learn hopefully. My Eros is getting more reliable now so maybe this is something I could try it.

I kept on the pole despite very sensitive skin as I wasn’t infectious after the rash appeared but skin was flaking off all over the place.I had this well over 8 weeks ago and am still trying to sort my skin out. I’m moisturising like crazy as my skin was rough and dry now it’s just patches. It’s improving but my thighs are still horrible. Good luck I hope it sorts itself out soon.

We use a pole-o-mat it’s 6 inches thick and I really like it combined with spotting for new moves or those I’m not 100% with. I definately think all studios should have a least 1 crash mat. I don’t have 1 at home (they are super expensive) but I don’t try new things at home either.

Welcome I’m another poler from the UK, I live in Kent. There seem to be more and more girls from the Uk joining which is fab. It sounds like you are getting really stuck into some new moves so good luck with those.

I’m in Kent but I have a photoshoot with the fabulous Millie Robson at 10:30 in London otherwise I’d consider it a little adventure.
Good luck though

MemberAugust 3, 2010 at 11:47 am in reply to: Driclor anti-perspirant as a form of grip aidHey I tried this about 2 years ago. It definately cut down on the sweating so I liked it but my friend who also tried it found it dryed her hands out so much she couldn’t grip at all. I would think it’s worth a try if you get really sweaty. I have found that now I’m a confident poler I don’t get sweaty hands like I used to when I was a beginner either and I rarely need grip aids now.
Hope this helps

It may take a while as if you get the train you have to travel through London to get to Maidstone. If you drive it’s round the M25 to the M20 which is just after the dartford crossing. Be good to see you if you can get down.

Can I bring a couple of my instructors too? We’ll be able to find it easy – I’ll speak to them & see if they can do a a day in Aug xxx
I was just going to see if you had seen this what a coincidence. I don’t have anything on the weekends in my diary for August yet so if we set a date soon I can put it in before it gets busy and I should be able to make it. Do we have a studio lined up for the jam?
