portableninja, you are getting so close to the splits, congrats! I am miles away and I truly doubt I will ever do a split in my life 😉 Thanks for the bra recommendations, I think I'll have to try moving comfort. Plus the back hooking makes the bra much easier to put on! As they come in 30 band! which according to their site I won't need 😉 Do you wear your regular size? According to they calculator I should order 32D so they run pretty tight I guess (I've got 27in around my rib cage)
And what size do you wear in Mika Lynn? It looks awesome and I think I want one for myself but I am clueless about the size
jeansgina, you might also give Shock Absorber a try, I've heard they are really good! Though I do not recommend the regular clothing (S,M,L etc) sized ones, they did not work for me as the size was either too loose in the band or too tight in the cup. But they might work for someone else.
I haven't got a chance to try the bra sized ones, as they did not have my size at store. besides I was hoping to buy something cuter but, well, in the end I will go for the support rather than looks (and buy tons of cute shorts to fulfil my girly desires 😉 )

MemberDecember 23, 2012 at 1:35 pm in reply to: Reducing fat but keeping muscle… While being vegetarian :SI am sorry to point that again but the sentence "Vegetarians eat eggs, fish and drink milk." is not true. Just checxkt the definition
Vegetarianism is the practice of abstaining from consumption of meat.
Fish or sea food is meat (it is clearly not a plant if you'd asked me), it is really simple if you ask me ! especially if you put it another way: vegetarians don't eat animals, if something is or was an animal, vegetarian won't eat it.
another thing is, you need a lot of protein if you don't want to loose muscle tissue, although you need carbs and fat as well. carbs are essencial to burn fat tissue in your body.
I, when trying to reduce my body fat, used to eat around 120g of protein, 150g carbs (good ones) and 60-70g of fat, it was 1600-1700 kcal total. To maitain my body weight I was suppose to eat 2000- 2100 kcal, so 1700 was reasonable cut. I did partly succeed, not totally as it was really a bad time in my life to start diet, I am planning to try again in march and then after reduction, try to gain more muscle. I am 162 or something cm tall and I weight 48-50kg, which means I am rather tiny but more in 'skinnyfat' way which I do not 100 per cent like.
I highly reccomend you 'good calorie, bad calorie' book, it's worth the read!

wow, it seems like there is a lot misinformation here.
I personally only do believe in 30% protein 30% fat 40% carbs diet, to reduce fat, though I have seen amazing effect on people on very different diet plans (high fat, low carbs, high protein etc). You just have to find out what warks for you.
In general: carbs you eat ends up as energy or fat. I do not believe in cutting down carbs to minimum to be clear! But I am not a fan 😉 (well, at least I am trying not to be :D)
I also would like to reccomed you "good calorie, bad calorie' book. It changed my entire view on diet and food in general. I am still more into 'balanced' than low carb etc, but the book itself make a lot of sense and is well written !
"natural" peanut butter which is about as appetizing as pencil shavings
LOL, I find natural peanut butter best of all! (>90% peanuts +oil and salt, which is not that bad if you excercise as you 'sweat it out')

I've started inverting after 6 months (Though I had an over a month break from pole, so I guess it would took me 4,5-5 mnonths without the break), but I have never tried to invert sooner.
My frustration was the same after 2-3 months of poling, but then we learned some fun tricks and moves and I totally forgot abut inverting until we we started to practice it.
Be patient, it pays off 🙂

maybe you could try out some routine like dirtybirdy's one? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68L43L1i6cw&feature=related
From what I found out the easiest move is back hook, so you can start with it 😉
and I do not find fan kick a ' begginer' move (a move for the first poling time), I tried fan kick after 3 months of poling or something and was literally scared to do it! (I am stil not good at it week later 😉 ) even though I am able to do other spin and poses, but I guess it depends on a person. But still, I think back hook is the easiest, then fireman
good luck 🙂

Thank you 🙂
I got Xpole 45mm chrome, I've practice on 50mm chrome pole and a custom made 48mm stainles steel, and I like chrome better. I was actually thinking of getting 40mm but I think at this point 45 is a better. Maybe next time 😀
Veena, I'd love to gert the pole from here, but I am based in europe (shipping+taxes etc), but I think I will get your lessons at some point (when I save some money), I've heard how good they are! 🙂
