I was having the same problem and I realized (for me atleast) it wasn’t the bottom screws for spin/static I was having problems with, it was the middle where the pole’s come together. They came loose and I kept thinking it was the bottom as well. Just something to try. Once I tightened that middle section again I haven’t had a problem with it moving like it was.

I didn’t really know Caramel but I remember watching her video’s and thinking the scarf and "horny devil hat" was pretty sweet! Those of you who were close to her, my condolences to you all. It takes an incredible person to touch the lives of so many! I wish I had more of an opportunity to get to know her.
RIP Caramel!!!

I would love to go all out for Halloween but I would have no place to show off my stuff, lol. I don’t really have a lot of friends here and the friends I do have aren’t into ‘having fun.’ I usually take my kids trick-or-treating and pass out candy…. I know, BIG plans https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif . I’d LOVE to hear what everyone else is doing though and see some tricked out costumes!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_batman.gif

Oh My Gosh! They just ripped pole dancing apart! I can’t believe the hosts comment about not wearing clothes while pole dancing. It shows none of them did any research into the sport. I’d love to see them on a pole! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Hi Beactric1
Welcome! You will really love the girls, and guys, here. They are all so encouraging and fun. Pole burn comes with the territory, lol. I’ve kind of gotten used to it myself. If you have a real problem with sweaty hands there are products out there to help you with that. I haven’t tried any, I usually just use the towel I use to clean my pole with and wipe my hands off. Good Luck with the poling, I can’t wait to see your progress!! -
This was a great newsletter. I loved watching you two together. Glitter, you are so cute and interesting https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif and your cupcake looked really yummy! I’m going to keep my eyes open for that business of yours. Half of us will never leave!!

Lucky! I have a stupid Peek-a-boo pole but I have to wait a bit longer before I can afford a better one. Have fun!!

I have one of those poles you are talking about. They are crappy. I’ve had mine for 3 weeks and it’s seriously already time for a new one. The PLASTIC threading is already warping. Anyway, my husband is the one who has to tighten it and when he does I’m able to spin any which way. Are you sure it’s as tight as you can possibly get it? There shouldn’t be a reason you only spin one way. I know what you mean about it loosening because mine does the same thing if it’s not tight.
I don’t have a set routine I do. I warm up, usually do a workout and then pole for about an hour. I practice all my spins and try new spins and I work on any inverts I’m learning (I"m only 3-4 weeks into it myself). I jam some music and dance around and move to it. Hope this helps!

I’m sorry you’re having so much trouble. I am in the same boat as you as far as the pole thing goes. I ordered a pole not knowing what to go with and it was the peek-a-boo pole also. I couldn’t set it up for anything, the thing is quite ridiculous. My husband saved the day and every other day he has to adjust it and tighten it because even with little ‘ol me swinging on it it loosens up easily. I haven’t had any problems with it taking skin off. I’ve never caught myself. It really is a piece of crap but for right now it’s serving it’s purpose for me. I figure I’ll get started on it and in a 6 months or so I’ll invest in the right pole. Don’t let it get you down! Some women on here have home made pole’s! Your husband/bf (I can’t remember if you were married) needs to set it up. He should be able to understand the impossible instructions, (it was Greek to me) and tighten it up for ya. Hang in there and DON’T GIVE UP!
