Thanks Veena, I will post questions directly on lessons from now on. But you were correct…it was a placement issue, I was still to parallel to the floor, I really scooched myself up the pole and was able to do it! WOOT WOOT!
Now to work on the ckr. I think it's more a fear thing w/ it. Looking for some good crash mat right now.

CG!: Thanks so much for the reply. I'll keep looking.

The pole has been the one place I can go and feel beautiful. 25 extra #'s, 50 extra #'s. To me the pole is about finding your inner beauty, exposing yourself, feeling vulnerable and all at the same time feeling strong. Is it really about the money of shipping it or is it about your feelings about yourself?

Nymphdancer: Do you know where your friend got them from?

Thanks girls, I'm working on it STILL. One day I know I'll get it.

hookedonpole- Happy Belated Bday! I was able to get a crash mat for really cheap. I actually got an umbrella bench pad that came in two halves and had a hole in it for the pole, I mean umbrella. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif It works perfect. I can post a pic if you want.

It’s actually easier for me to do the hand stand then head stand? Anybody else?

Thanks for replying. I’ve been perusing the forum for as much info as I can get about learning the elbow stand. How do you feel about gaining the strength coming into a handstand from an inversion.

I’m sure this won’t help, but…I get dizzy and do it anyway. Hopefully somebody will have a tip for you. I just didn’t want to leave you hangin.

Veena does not rest her head on the floor like the guy in the video above. When you guys headstand do you?

you share more personal trials and life achievements with online poling friends than your ‘real’ friends because the poling friends are overall, more supportive and less judgmental.
So true.
