You guys aren’t "fogies"! My ex-girlfriend is 47 years old and was wonderful for the most part. (by the way, the 15 year age difference had nothing to do with our break-up after 4 years.) I’ve always gravitated to older women, they only start to get REALLY sexy (and comfortable enough with themselves to fully enjoy) in their mid to late 30’s and up.

    Thank you Mr. ManCandy. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

One thing for sure I’ve done right is started this thread. I’m going to keep working on my pole. Wish I could take all of you and put you in a room and give you all a hug. Thank you.

I also notice my insecurities about my age and size are super duper during class. I’m in a class filled w/ girls 1/2 much age and twice my skill level. I think if I was their age I wouldn’t feel AS insecure about my skill level. Does that make sense?

Hi Sissy, For me it’s all the insecurities, hormonal changes, body changes and physical challenges I didn’t use to face that I’m facing now. All that go along w/ aging and fighting thru them w/ the support of others my age that can relate.

If you are on Facebook you really need to add this group:

    Grande Dames of Pole Fitness.

omgosh, Thank you for this link.

And thank you to everyone else for all the support. I’ve only started to read some of the replies so I may be back to edit/add on. But as of right now I’m so happy I took the risk, came out of lurking and posted my honest feelings.

@Pink : in fact the point is to practice inverting without kicking so you can from the tip of your toes or cross ankle just pulling up you knee chest level slowly and going back down without letting go. If you need i could make a video https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

OK, I think I get what your saying. But still I’d love to see a vid…only if you don’t mind, of you showing what you did for your practice.

    Thank you so much!

the way i improved on this is to do reverse crunches (standing to the side of the pole) with my feet crossed so i cant kick.

Hi PB, I don’t understand what you mean by this and I’m very interested. Can you explain it a little more for me?
