Thats so funny I also play that on repeat Love that song! have no idea how to make a routine as mentioned before just do tricks/spins would really like to have atleast 1 slow and 1 fast routine everytime I dance it’s freestyle thats fun and I love it, but sometimes when I watch routines on you tube or whatever I think it looks like a lot of fun will be easier once i get new pole to warm up/stretch and get on most days
right now I have my pole in the attic as it is the only place with enough room to really swing out, but it is very cold in there in winter and takes over an hour to heat up when I want to be in there it makes it hard b/c I have to know atleast an hour ahead of time before I dance also very hot in summer with no ac and very small windows next 1 is going in bed room downstairs won’t be able to swing, but will be able to climb (other pole is too short) and do inverts of pole can’t do now as well looking foward to it I agree these forums are intresting, motivating, and a big help! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Ya I was a little hesitant to buy the box set (or even the advanced dvd for that matter as 1. she never replied to my requestS for more info https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif 2. It says it ends its advanced dvd with extended butterfly (which I don’t find that advanced I can do basic ) https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_silent.gif I just thought might be worth it if it helps with floorwork/filler moves as I always just do 1 spin/trick after another well glad I just got the 1 and not the box set live and learn well Jamila’s Art of Pole is really excellent https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

I will try to be in chat fri, but can’t say for sure. did try doing first challenge of dancing with prop i used a really long sparkly neclace to twirl around and play with, but found it got in the way of some spins/inverts https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif
It was kinda cool to be able to take it off without touching it though I went into thigh hold release and just kept arching back til it slipped off https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif I also recored it, but it was such a lousy practice and most of tape is me switching songs, stopping to think of what to do ect. I’m with you there I bought a camera months ago just so I could record pole sessions and still have no idea how it works, or how to post am going to try it tonight after my boyfriend goes to work I really don’t do routines either I just kind of do tricks with some filler moves and a little floorwork am actually trying to find or design routines as think would be fun to teach friends ( might get them into it a little more )

that book/dvd is what got me on pole dancing! thats so funny https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif It was purely accidental just stumbled on it and that’s how I found out about X-Pole I remember the guy a little creepy, but kinda funny too well it’s a good book for beginners I remember when I didn’t have a pole yet and I would be looking everywhere I went to see if there was some sort of pole I could try a move on I am so grateful for my pole Actually had a really bad day and am going up soon to work off some of this and maybe get a new move am going to try Ashyas (is that how you spell it?) https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

well still no luck getting any info on amateur nights around here there are 2 clubs I know of, but can’t seem to get to there web pages or get any info on anything frustrating thought would be very easy to go to web pages and get some idea if this is even possible didnt really want to do this at the 2 I know b/c so close to home/work I know alot of people who go there but would if could just get some dates/timrs/rules ect https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif
