i’m really glad you asked as i would love to have some sort of routine i think it would help alot with getting on the pole enough to gain strength and flexibility as well as keep me motivated right now its whenever and whatever i feel like freestlye is def. important, but knowing i’m doing certain things on set days to get closer to my goals would be great I don’t usually even warm up I just put on music and start doing spins/inverts
I have read some good ideas in the forums about just doing easy dancing to warm up and putting on relaxing music til your ready to really start moving i am going to try some new moves tonight so will be warming up/stretching part of what i miss about class is knowing we had warm-up cool-down routine well i look foward to reading everyone elses ideas on this https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I ended up ordering the x-pole 50mm chrome I have gold right now chrome is better for spins as it is a little more slippery allowing you to glide around easily, but gold is better for climbing, inverted poses, ect I may put chrome upstairs where gold is now since have no height up there and would be better used for spins and move gold downstairs as have height, but no room to spin I bought secong one for purpouse of using for climbing exersise, inverted combos, climbing upside down, ect
Also just in case actually come across someone who might be willing to try this will have 1 can take down, and take with Can’t wait til it comes in The only time I get to use a tall pole is at friends, but she only goes on occasionally, where I am always up for dicussing/watching/doing pole stuff
I also ordered Leigh Anns Advanced dvd was going to order whole set but she never got back to me about the content on beg/int. will let you know what i think when i watch it hope everyone’s enjoying the weekend!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

thanks so much for the advice!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gif it was very helpful as ssaid have done it a few times and was really able to just hang in the chopper position comfortably, but other times i go up and right back down
am wandering if strong hand was on bottom b/c tried both ways, but don’t remember which used when was able to do it it’s after midnight now and just getting in so will have to wait for tommorow, but am going to try your tips
can also do regular invert and then let legs fall into chopper position, but since one of my big goals is to get the spinning chopper must be able to master from standing position thanks again!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I have the Art of Pole series and it is amazing https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gif yes i agree even if your a more advanced pole dancer you could possibly benefit from a begginer dvd but in this case i learned NOTHING https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
not transitions, not floorwork moves, not a mini routine, not anything I was so disappointed I really look foward to getting new dvds soon though and am still thinking of getting leigh anns beginner as i think she will have alot of twirls, floorwork, filler moves ect to be learned also want to get a chair dancing dvd if anyone knows of any good ones https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_salut.gif thanks

Ya it’s really too bad because it can be so much fun to get together with your friends and learn routines and such but I do get tired of feeling like I can’t be proud of myself or make a big deal when I learn a new move if there are certain people around or that I just have to act like it was just luck that i can do a move

i love learning and I love teaching so am disappointed that I really can’t seem to share this with anyone in my own area or there were atleast classes so could do this with a group… Well it’s a New Year so time for some changes I just decided I am going to be proud of what I have learned, am going to accept compliments (even the not so sincere ones), and celebrate any way I feel when get a new move regardless of company

I love poling so it doesnt seem like work, but have put in amazing amount of time, energy, and recourses into studying moves on you tube, watching video lessons, reading books and forums,sweating/bruising ect to have come to this point and it’s just going to keep getting better so people can just get used to it and maybe learn to have some fun with it or they can go find a corner to sulk in https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_salut.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif I had to get that off my chest vent time ya know? well thanks for reading and thanks for your earler reply was nice to see I’m not imagining this https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

so how was everyones New Years? I had wanted to post resolutions and read others, but havent found a post site for it yet has anyone else? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

Oh she’s am amazing pole dancer I love her style I get the impression she’s not as "down with the people" as Veena is have wrote to her several times to tell her I admire her work and to ask about her dvd set but she has not responded .. She owns a pole studio in Cali called Be Spun Its a 3 dvd box set but may only want the advanced dvd as have been very disappointed by getting Beginner/Inter. dvds before only to find I already know all the moves (good and bad thing I guess) Well thanks anyway https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

I can only use my right leg in that position as well i kick my outer leg up wether it is L or R even when doing chopper I have seen vids with girls doing it the other way but haven’t felt comfortable and as long as can do the moves i want the way have been doing them will prob just keep doing it that way although it is good to have a variety of ways of doing something
