going to have to agree .. if you pole in public you WILL get attention https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif male and female, good annd bad. girls will almost always give you dirty looks and /or try to start something. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif i was in this situation over the weekend. i just took it up a notch when got female haters and had fun, https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif but it does get soo frustrating. i would say if anyone gives you unwanted attention tell them polietly, but firmly that you do not want to talk w them and if they don’t stop, get a boucer or talk to the bartender. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cool.gif not worth taking a chance on someone who may go violent over something stupid. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif never go out alone https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_queen.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_queen.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_queen.gif and remember if your not sticking together and watching out for ea. other you mine as well be alone. dress appropriate, don’t be overly sexual, and don’t worry about the rest! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif POWER2THEPOLERS!!!

MemberJuly 19, 2010 at 3:37 pm in reply to: What insurance companies cover pole studios?well the more research I do the less I want to open a brick & motar studio, https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif but am VERY intrested in doing private lessons and pole partie in peoples homes https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif etc so was wondering about what kind of insurance I would need to get and if anyone knew of any reputable companies? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_question.gif when talked to the insurance have home ins through the price she quoted was astronomical.. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif I would spend the money for a stand alone or stage pole gladly so don’t have to worry about celings as well as have option of using outdoors, but want to have everything legal and proper. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_salut.gif I have a house to think about so can’t play games w lawsuits. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_arrow.gif
I really need to get moving on this as my fear of failure has kept me from really trying for so long, https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif I feel a deep disappointment and longing. I know this is my chance to make a dream come true if I can just push through the fear and gather the right information. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_queen.gif

once you feel comfy w this move try likning it into a back hook. it looks pretty, its easy, and gives you good momentum. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

i use my bottom hand to brace myself as bring bottom foot to against pole. once i feel bootom leg/foot is in good position i slowly lean my chest back and shoulders back this forces you to open your hips and go foward as chest and shoulders lean out away from pole. remember to grip HARD w that top bent leg and be sure your legs and pole are warm and tacky not slippery. hope it helps https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

yes although I only freestyle, I would like to start working on a routine, and agree the best thing is to listen to the song that natrually moves you til you get familiar w where there are accent pieces ( like in my may challenge vid I used Crazy Bitch as my song and the beginning is very explosive to start the song so i did a open leg RG and really through myself bc that was an accent piece. ). so listen and if the song starts soft than suddenly changes to a faster tempo or there is that something that stands out you want an unexpected dramatic move. it doesn’t have to be a big trick but it does need big attitude to fit the vibe of the song. can be a fast drop or a quick hair flip. so once you sit down w your pad and pen and listen to your song for the accents you know where your going to thrown the drama in.. now what to do w rest of song? listen for lulls in the beat or vocals where you can catch your breath and do some standing poses, hip rolls, floor work, wall work ect. mark down the moves you wil use for these lulls. can be as simple as writting "wall work and crawl to pole for next move". now think of a start to the lead up to the first accent or other planned move. will you walk directly to the pole? will you crawl to it? ignore it at first and go right to the floor/wall other move? ok next how do you want to end it? on the floor? sitting on the pole? in an invert? listen to the song and now the impression you want to leave.
now you should have listened to the song enough to be familiar w the tempo, beat, and lyrics. you should have written an entrance sequence ( walk to pole, wrap leg around, bend down and whip hair up.. or walk to wall, do body waves off it, slither to floor, flirty legs, roll over, get up sexy, walk to pole, first spin ect)
you should have a move planned for every dramatic part of the song ( accent pieces ), you should know how your going to handle slower parts ( lulls ) and know how you want to end the song (ending sequence)
