Man…I know you guys like this thread, but it’s totally bummed me out. Every single move I’ve learned recently that I was super proud of is here. Now I feel like the ugliest laziest dancer ever to live.
Maybe you guys should rethink the extent to which you are describing some moves as hideous, because it’s made me feel like the top 5-10 moves in my bag of tricks are all fug. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_pale.gif It’s when I see things like this that make me not want to post vids of my progress….not if everyone’s just going to think everything I have worked so hard for and am so proud of is just me slutting around the pole or looking terrible.

The doctor see’s no reason to replace it I wish he would!
This happen about 2 years ago. I have 270cc gel silicone above the muscle.
Thank you for starting this topic https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gifThe most important thing in plastic surgery is that the patient be happy with the results. If you’re not happy with the results, you should have the issue corrected so you are. If the Dr. doesn’t understand that, IMO you need to get a second opinion. It’s too big of an issue, it’s too huge of an area for a woman’s self confidence, and you spent too much money to not be 100% satisfied. A second opinion never hurts and you might discover a way to balance the girls out that doesn’t involve replacing it altogether. Just my $.02.

David already put a bow on it with more eloquence in his little finger than I’ve got in my whole body, as usual. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif But, for what my opinion is worth, it was the uncontrollable spinning that was the biggest obstacle to me getting the wrist seat…and I got all kinds of fun moves like shoulder mount and knee hold and superman before I ever got the wrist seat down. It really is all in hand placement, because I just slid off to the side and toppled over because I didn’t *have* the move so the spinning just made me unstable. But now I’m motivated, now that it’s a move I feel secure in, to try to spin it on purpose just because of what David said…I’d never thought of it before, but why have I always fought the spin in that move so fiercely? Dude you make me think about my dancing like no other!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Perhaps Karol will grant you a YT tutorial if she doesn’t already have one. She makes that move look so crazy awesome. I’m pretty sure she has one for the superman fall…did you check her yt out?

I hate getting greasy from sunscreen and it is a necessity for me (have you seen my vids? hello pasty https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif )
I started using an aerosol-spray that is supposedly "waterproof" even though I know it’s not really, but it’s technically a high-active one for athleticy type people, so you can’t sweat it off. I dunno. I’d give it a shot, it goes on clear and actually dries so not greasy that it’s almost tacky. I’d spray it in a light coat so that as I got sweaty I could keep wiping myself with a towel and do a little re-apply as needed.

As per discussed hazards, no catastrophes????

I prefer the straight leg version. It looks so pretty. Especially when the person has long legs and it’s all stretched out along the pole…..mmmm…..
A la Felix the ragdoll. Yummy.

Thank you so much all!
Good job girl!
I loved your spinning scorpio! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
I’m really proud that I got a good take of it on video. It’s a move that’s freaked me out ever since I fell out of it badly over x-mas break. (Don’t worry, my thick skull broke the fall https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif ) But it’s nice to get over the fear!

(‘Downstairs’ jewelry + learning the wrist seat = ouch!)
YES.
It’s probably not a problem too many of you ladies have, but please consider removing private jewelry if you’re learning something new. Bashing that area firmly could cause a piercing to tear slightly because of how delicate the tissue is, which could lead to rejection, which no one wants down there.

Mmm.
I have stainless, and mine is nicely broken in- on occasions when it’s a cold, miserable gripless day, I’ll rub a plain white candle(no oils or scents) against it, rub it in really good until it’s invisible/makes the pole matte and pole away.I’ve done it in the winter, and I’ve done it when I had mutliple polers mixing incompatible oils on the pole.
Can I just keep you in my purse so I can pull you out periodically to either give great advice or the perfect reassuring comment at all times? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

MemberMarch 22, 2010 at 3:46 pm in reply to: Reverse SM/SM dismount…whatever you wanna call itI had the same problem, where even with a tuck I’d just bump my collarbone as I got my legs on. It wasn’t really painful, but if I wanted to practice shoulder mounts a lot in one session it would become painful over time. That was with double cup grip, I think part of it was how much that grip depends on you really, really pressing the pole against that spot. So I switched to respect grip and it really did the trick. The bruising stays confined to the fleshy part, so even if I do have bruising to the extent that it looks GROSS it’s still not tender to the point where it’s unbearable to practice. Now I can SM until my strength gives out rather than having to stop because I’m uncomfortable. I hadn’t really thought about trying to learn different SM grips, but it worked out so well now I’m trying to get comfortable with them all. I mean, the more diverse hand positions you know, the easier to make really creative transitions right? (hope so) https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
