Haha you think? If I decide to buy it I will have to post a vid. Looks like that romper shows some good undercheek action. (As per Sissy’s requests I make no apologies for the booty https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif )

$30 is one hell of an investment for a college kid though. oof! We’ll see what the checking account looks like after vday https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif

You should consider buying Veena’s lessons. They really are cheap for the amount of content you’re getting, and they are organized by difficulty so there’s all kinds of non-invert moves. Even if you already know lots of the basics, I know those lesson videos are really helpful for planning my workouts. I’ll flip through the lessons and decide what I want to work on today/this week/learn by the end of the month/etc. Glad you started posting, welcome! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I want a romper/monokini/teddie. So bad. A Cute one. I want really low slung bottoms that aren’t too cheeky, with side ties, and a flattering middle part, and cups that won’t look ridiculous on my IBTs.

Tall order. But I want one. And when I find one that’s not $50, I will have it!

From the still it’s obvious she has a sweet spot for that move just like we all have to find our sweet spot for knee hold. Just depending on the leg length/width/shape the leg position could be more open or closed.  Maybe this would be one to try leaning back on a chair like veena teaches knee hold, but just laying back on it to get the legs in position, or right off the ground over a mat.

Show her some vid’s like Oona’s! That will change her mind about the range of what pole dancing can accomplish.

Confession: I can’t do pirouettes because I have only ever poled in my own home on my own BLEEPING carpet which burns the hell out of my toes when I try. I need to put packing tape on my pleasers so I can at least try to practice, because quite frankly, smooth pirouettes are like 75% of having good transitions imo. My dancing doesn’t feel complete without them. Even with the packing tape there’s nothing like dancing on a nice smooth floor.

There’s a dance studio on campus here that students can rent out for practice…I might have to inspect the ceilings in there and see if they’d work on my xpole. That smooooooth dance floor would be so heavenly.

I call my xpoles athletic/exercise apparatus… that’s what it is right? and if someone was to call me a w*ore to my face, i would ask them to hold on while i take down my athletic/exercise apparatus and hit them round the head with it… hey look at that, it’s now a baseball bat! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

    LOL now THAT’S a good response! "Nope, it’s not a stripper pole and I’m not a whore; it’s a bludgeon and I’m your worst nightmare!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif "

    https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Word has gotten out in my department that I pole dance. I have heard it referenced as a stripper pole by my colleagues. I just explain to them that I’m not taking my clothes off, that this is something I do in the privacy of my home because it is good for my body and mind and makes me feel and look great. Then usually I flash the biceps and they shut up. But my colleagues are beer drinking, CoD playing, sedentary good ‘ol boys, so I think they’re 50% intrigued and 50% fearful of the ass-whoopin’ they know I could dish out. (Not to mention verbal lashing…we’re all lawyers in training after all!)

Have you tried a yogurt dip or a cream cheese dip, or even peanut butter? Might mellow it out a bit, plus yogurt is really good for the tummy.

I hate this move too. I mean, I love when others do it but it’s still hit or miss for me and it still frikkin hurts!

When I do get it, I think I’m gripping closer down by my knees and hooking the foot….hard. Once I figured out which foot was my "strong" foot, I hooked that one around the other foot and sqeeuzed like hell. I’m gonna work on turning my legs in.

This is what I’ve always been doing and it’s been hit or miss for me, too. I’m definitely trying turning my knees in. See, this is why you guys are awesome.

I’ve also never tried from an advanced plank. I always used the method Veena described of holding myself in a pole sit and sort of easing my hips down/tipping my legs up so I feel the contact along the thigh, then let my hands go and lean my torso down.

If you wish wearing your pleasers in public was much more acceptable.

Oh how angry this makes me!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif If only males were not so lecherous and females so judgmental I would wear them every weekend, but when you’re already 5’8" and prancing around in heels that make you 6′ tall, everyone looks at you like "who does this attention guzzling hooker think she is???"

Also, I can’t really walk in them. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Maybe it’s sad, but…. I’ve stared this thread down and read it almost every single day when it was posted, I’ve seen what everyone else has said, I think it’s a great idea, and I’m in the best shape of my life, but I still can’t think of anything to put here. There’s nothing about me or my body that I love enough to state it that way. You girls are lucky to even be able to find something, lucky that you think of yourselves that way.

    Maybe someday.
