Just wanted to add I saw the new forum for move of the month and may I just say https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif
Awesome idea!!!! Can’t wait to see everyone on the same move and really study everyones different styles. I can already tell we’ll all be learning cool new ways to do our standard tricks we never thought about https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif

This used to happen to me too till i realized 2 things:
1) make sure the holes where the screw thingies go are lined up with the little x’s on the base of pole
2) when you use the key to insert the screws, use it so that the LONG side of it is sticking out, & the short side is going inside.. doing it the opposite way wont screw them in all the way.Hope this helps! if you’re already doing this & it’s still moving, i’d call X-pole.. they’re very helpful. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
=( sadly, yeah still moving. Actually the most recent time I tried the one problematic screw finally gave way on tightening and now slips meaning its definitely stripped somewhere in there. It’s just a little give so I’m not worried about it being unsafe to practice on but I don’t like it one bit. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif

I agree with azzwoo 100%. When I was learning this move I had to learn to get the grip in my knee not my thighs. I started out holding my foot and went from there.
As far as thighs hurting, there’s a thread in here somewhere about doing pole sits for increasing amounts of time to toughen up the thighs. I do it and it works!

Aw you can do it girlie I know you can! I have problems with my shoulders for the same reason, it just takes time and patience and a lot of talking to yourself like a nutterbutter (back and down back and down back and down) https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
It took me what seemed like ages to get my cradle pretty. Now I train myself in that position. With my pole on static, I pull myself up around the pole in cradle position and just hold it as long as I can. I can hold it almost a full minute now, and the longer I can hold it for, the prettier my cradles get. Plus, it’s good training for flagpoles! I’ve been practicing a lot of holding positions that way to get better muscle control and it definitely feels like it’s working. Good luck!

MemberOctober 28, 2009 at 1:26 pm in reply to: platinum stages superpole loose in the middle?I think it wouldn’t hurt to take the whole thing apart again and look (really, really look) at the condition of the threading on the two pieces. Test just that seam while it’s apart by screwing it together and making sure that joint is in ok shape. If there’s something wrong with the threads of one piece, I’d say buy replacement part. If that seam feels fine and looks fine, then I think it’s time to call up the company. You might have to ask for a manager a few times, but such is life.

Eat them nanners! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif I was a really active kid and I got muscle cramps all the time. Especially bad in my legs. My mom always gave me bananas instead of tylenol and it seems to actually work as a remedy that way and not just in preventing them.
