I mean….I know where to quest and how to make it snappy and zone out doing familiar quests on the ally…it can be surprisingly frustrating to learn all new zones https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

MemberOctober 25, 2009 at 5:17 am in reply to: Lost the alan key….Now my pole is stuck on spinI just minimized WoW to post this because I looked down at my desk at the thing I keep my guitar tools in and realized the allen wrench that adjusts my guitar’s truss rod is the same size allen wrench that adjusts my x-pole. So if you ever lose it again any musician friend with an electric should have one.
Unless it’s carbon fiber neck, not all those have a truss rod =p but it’s the same size I use on the bridge too, so there you go. I minimized WoW for that random thought. Have a nice night. Glad you found your wrench. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

WOW Roxy thank you for posting that response I just found this thread and my B pole has that issue. I bought it used and got a great deal and that sharp edge is the absolute only thing wrong with it…but I was going to buy a new B pole! You just saved me a pile of money thank you! *big hug!* https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif

MemberOctober 24, 2009 at 12:33 pm in reply to: X-Pole extension and base stuck togetherDo you have the quick release tools? If not, get them because you will be getting them anyway except you’ll be a lot more frustrated at the circumstances you’re buying them under if you wait. Trust me, they make life so much easier. If you don’t have them, I would try shocking it out of place. Stick the things through the holes, prop one against the floor so you’re in a position to push down on the opposite one to unscrew it….give it a go from that angle, if it still doesn’t come out, put a towel over the pole to protect it and whack it with something solid. Just a quick bang(that’s what she said)–it’s not the pressure that releases it, it’s hitting it really fast….(that’s what she said) https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

WOW. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif What can you do to build strength for that? I know I’m too noob to actually do tg but just because of how it looks I tried it out to see if it’s as hard as it looks and…. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif
https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif What pole moves get you primed for tg? Or what work with free weights and weight bar?

oh hells yeah, I have my pole in my living room because I have no space anywhere else…whatevs. and yeah, I am not even wearing shoes!!! they would have a heart attack if I was there in my bikini and high heel shoes, I told them to delete me from their facebooks if they find pictures like this one so offensive, because I am not gonna stop posting them, heck, I am proud of some moves, so yeah, I want to show them off….they will never understand, most of my friends do understand and think it’s awesome, but these few…don’t get the door hit you on the ass …bye bye.

Rock on, girl!!! Tell them to stuff it where the sun don’t shine. You wonder if these are the dorks who were offended by the naked pictures in their high school bio books. Yeah, it’s a booty! It’s MY booty! It’s my HOT booty! Get over it! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Maybe you could get some of your fellow pole dancing friends together and take some artsy black and whites of your muscles…pretty upper back and arm shots, toned legs next to pole, etc. and say something about the kind of bodies pole builds (hot ones…meow) https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif I don’t know where you’d find numerical statistics, but images of real women with real pole muscles speak for themselves…that is until someone comes up with a solid % of how much butt pole dancers kick. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif

Oooh georgiapeach thanks for posting that. I’m a half size person, 7.5, thinking I should go up to 8? I don’t know how true to size they are but I’m looking at something closed-toe right now so I’m afraid to go down to a 7 as my pleasers are a 7 and they wedge my toes uncomfortably even though theyre open toe.

Happy birthday, Fleur! (Belated though it may be!) Hope you started off another year healthy, wealthy, and wise! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Yep, pretty much anything you can hook around your foot would work. An old pair of nylons even! Is it basically that you stretch to where you’re mostly comfortable, contract your muscles, and then release and relax them, and go a little further?
That is definitely the basic premise. the initial hold should be for approx 30 secs to relax your muscles, contract for 5, relax and push a little further, hold 20/30, secs, contract for 5, relax, hold another 20/30. Don’t hold it for longer than 3 minutes, and come out of gently as recommended above.
If you’re not doing it with someone who knows what they’re doing, I would recommend that you get a book or a DVD (I have one by Kit Laughlin, he’s probably the leading authority in Australia), because, as Veena said, it’s intense and it’s sometimes difficult to know what you should be contracting in order to get the best out of the stretch and to make sure you don’t injure yourself. Also, the positioning is sometimes weird. But it’s definitely one of the most effective ways to increase your range of motion if it’s done right. I hope it works for you!
Do you know anyplace off the top of your head I could get a book or dvd? This sounds like a particularly good way to work with specific problem areas that don’t respond as well to the current routine. Can you still stretch every day but just 2 days a week do this with specific places and then stretch everything else on the off days?
