Thank you so much ladies for al the helpfull information!!!
It will be a great help in making my descision! I guess 15 hours should not be underestimated, especially when I still want to improve myself as a poledancer!
And one thing I want to be VERY carefull with, is losing fun in teaching and poledancing, because its 'too much'. Thank you ladies!!!

Thank you Empyrean for your answer!
The working on my own company means I am trying to start working as a freelance graphic designer, something totally different 🙂
I also figured that if I work 15 hours, it should probably include teaching 2-3 stretching classes, and a few hours for figuring out a choreo. I teach beginners and intermediates and how I teach is: showing and explaining the trick, then guide all 12 girls individually as they learn it. Each class is 1,5 hours, including a good 30 min warm up and stretch….
(I am not owner of the studio, the ownder developes the lesson plans etc…)
ps pretty awesome that you are 51 and such an active poleteacher!!!! That inspires me!

It sounds like a cliche: but JUST DO IT. Once you get started, you find your motivation again. I also sometimes have a motivation-low, but I'll 'just do it' it and then I think: I forgot how much fun it is! Dont set to much goals for yourself, just have fun, thats important to stay motivated.
The further you get into it, the more fit you will feel, the more desire you will feel to pole. At least, thats how it is with me. The more often I pole, the more motivated I am. If I didnt practice for a while (already after like 3-4 days) I am way more lazy about it.
Remember how awesome it feels to feel superfit and strong (and sexy)? How satisfiying it is to finish an awesome pole session / learning new tricks? Go for it! -
hahaha! Pool noodles and H2O it is!

Thanks a lot ladies! Very helpful! I will take all of the advice you have given me and see how the next flexibility training goes. I think my problem could have been caused by muscle aches caused by the previous day, plus temporary unhealthy lifestile (usually not the case). Was planning on the foamroller lessons, have to get me a foamroller first 🙂 Thanks for your helpfull answers!

Awesome answer thank you! It might have something to do with me riding my bike a couple of hours beforeflex training, and i have to admit i have been smoking more lately, due to stress… Another good reason to give it up!

Unfortunately, i also get stretchmarks from poling 🙁 but they’re quite thin. If i squat they kind of look like striped cellulite… It sucks! I just hope that they wont grow into thicker ones… Does anyone know of they grow bigger? Maybe it also gets better when you get stronger and your grip doesnt depend so much on your skin anymore? Lets keep our fingers crossed for a cure 🙂
